Divine dialog with Lord Shiva

To Lord Nandikeshwara I pray
O Drummer to the Lord's dancing feet
One of Lord Shiva's divine sons
His mount, His vehicle
An inmate of His paradise
Constantly in the world of Dhyana
Silent syllables of power
The very seed of life, perfect life
You breathe out every moment
Within your space
At the doorstep of the Lord.

Nandikeshwara, more commonly known as Nandi, the bull, is barely known for being more than just a Vahana. Found at the entrance of every shrine to Lord Shiva, He is seated there always in Dhyana, in silence and in constant meditation. An example of complete devotion, of beauty in selflessness, of peace and the destruction of the ego, of the self, of "I".

Nandi, seated there with a benign look, is in constant dialog with the Lord, where the only exchange is the very beeja mantra of the Lord. He is always present with the Lord, in front of Him with His mind seeped in divine concentration.

The world around Nandi!

A bustling crowd of people probably rushing in and out, unaware of this divine dialog. If only they stopped their hurried lives and tried to listen, the music and rhythm would touch their souls. There are ways to stop and listen, to breathe the same air that Nandi breathes, to listen to the jingle in His feet, to listen to the resounding mridangam as the Lord Dances in Ananda Tanava.

In all the noise and crowds that visit, the arguements that flair up for a better view, the blaring loud speakers that deafen the ears there is still a way out. It is to move the mind away from the world outside and move to the world inside. The purpose of this shrine is to invite all to forget their lives and live a moment in space, where time or people dont matter.

As the fire of the arti rises within the chamber lighting up the walls and bringing alive the Lord, after divya darshan is received through agni, one needs to walk out with that vision in their mind. As the eye rolls over the other deities in their shrines, the mind remains within the shrine chamber. Taking the path around the chamber it is advised not cross between the Lord and Nandi, or break into this divine dialog, invisible to all and silent to the ears. Being a part of this divine dialog, is a higher form of worship.

Walk up to Nandi, come to His left, and join the dialog and then you can hear the music, the rhythm and feel the potency of dhyana. Raise your left hand and place it over Nandi's horns, your thumb on one and your ring finger on the other, with the middle finger and index finger folded in. Place your right hand on Nandi, near His tail and bend over. Its the best view and the most sacred. The divine form of the Lord stands straight ahead, with no one in the way. The divine form glows ahead and we begin to see the Lord through Nandi's eyes. Stay, dont move, feel His presence. Smell the air, see the flames and listen to the rhythm of the Lord in your heartbeat. Its oneness with Nandi, oneness with the Lord most favourite deciple. Merge into the time, merge into the moment and cease to exist as the self.

Then whisper your wish into Nandi's ears and pray to Him, that the Lord would hear you through the divine dialog mingled with your mind, with your words, with your presence.

Its a moment felt, a feeling of peace to be cherished. Its a divine dialog between the Lord, Nandi and you.

When I was a school boy, I used to be moved by comics. My favourite was ‘Superman’. I have also tried saying ‘Shazam!’ in secluded places many times and expected to get transformed! Alas! Only to my disappointment – every time!

However, today I believe that over two decades ago, in Guwahati, Assam, in northeast India (believably ruled by planet Mars, a ‘wiser-than-me’ bull on the roadside saw in me its own reflection – both as vehicles of the formless! I have narrated that incident in detail elsewhere in Kavithaji’s blog, perhaps a year or so ago…

The ‘wise’ ancients apparently drew the attention of man towards ‘relatively superior intelligence’ of various animals who we today believe as ‘inferior life forms’, because of lack of overall knowledge in the words of the gentle ancients, or, crudely speaking like a ‘Haryanavi’, that is, a person from the State of Haryana (named after Hari!), "Foolishness"!

Even today, there is literature available related with lizards vis-à-vis humans, which Kavithaji had also cited in one of her earlier Posts, and so on...

Those well read people - who have even a little knowledge of Bhagavada Gita (Chapter X) – would have known how ‘Krishna’ has claimed Himself to exist within all ‘life’ forms, particularly powerful animals that exist on earth and water bodies etc., such as, Lion, Crocdile, and so on, which I too had indicated in one of the Posts…

And, The Gita indirectly indicates Krishna to have Earth as His supreme form - that, from the general description of Him, can also be understood as Shiva of Hindu Mythology!

However, it is also generally indicated by the 'wise' ancients that each individual is required to reach the ‘Truth’ in his or her own way…for wisdom cannot be taught!

Hi Joshi Uncle,

I remember that incident of teh bull alright. There have been several references made to the Pakshi Shastra. In olden days they believed in the judgment of animals and respected them such that they took decisions based on the reaction of animals.

The horse was used for deciding who was eligible enough to be invited for a swayamvar.

Interesting i thought!

Hi Kavithaji, a little while ago I saw on some TV channels how a Jet Airways plane had collided this morning with a bird after it took-off from Nagpur Airport, for Mumbai, with the Australian Cricket Team and some Indian players too. Luckily the pilot had made an emergency landing at the same airport as a precautionary measure…

The above incident, with the background knowledge of Shukracharya as the Guru of the demons, and planet Venus (Shukra) indirectly indicated as related with blue colour and ‘material’ wealth, including metals such as gold and particularly iron (believably like it is associated with planet Saturn), reminded me of the reported incident in Ramayana where Jatayu, the king of birds and a well wisher of Lord Rama, believably a reincarnation of Lord Vishnu in Tretayuga, attempted to stop ‘Demon’ Ravana, the king of the ‘golden Lanka’, when he was on his way from Panchvati in Dandakaranya after kidnapping Sita - in a sage’s guise and after fooling Rama and Lakshamana, both the brothers!
And, demons believably are good in the art of fooling by acquiring different forms or make-up - perhaps like film actors, for Hindus believed life to be 'Maya' or illusion!

As far as ‘I’ am concerned, Kavithaji, ‘I’ have felt that ‘I’ am being taken for a journey within my head after ‘I’ was shown a variety of scenes, on different stages, in the earlier period of ‘my growth’ to physical and mental maturity over a period of a few decades!

For example, it was only after ‘I’ read in the newspaper about the observations of stars in their ‘last stages’, or ‘death of stars’, by an American Indian astrophysicist, S, Chandrashekhar, which happens to be another name by which 'Shiva the Destroyer' is called, and the reported transformation of a massive star to a ‘Black Hole’ of super gravity that ‘I’ recalled my own experience of ‘near death’ in a crowd on Krishna’s birthday, that is, ‘Janmashtami’, in 'Birla Mandir', New Delhi, that was once 'Indraprastha' in my childhood that ‘I’ had described in detail earlier elsewhere…And so on, virtually unendingly!

Anonymous said...

At a later date, when ‘I’ read Bhagvada Gita, ‘I’ could relate ‘Krishna the cowboy’ who, although was mischievous when young, matured into a ‘superman’ who lifted the mount Goverdhan on his little finger to save the cowboys and milk-maids of Gokul (literally the clan of cows, that are generally white – like sunrays) from Indra’s (Sun’s) wrath expressed as torrential rain as they had stopped worshipping Indra on Krishna’s advice!

‘I’ could then link the super power ‘Black Hole’, believably housed at the centre of our Milky Way Galaxy, with ‘Krishna the light of thousand stars’ of the Hindu Mythology…and also with the planet Jupiter that also has Saturn-like rings, as both Vishnu and Krishna believably are ‘sudershanchakra dhari’, that is, holders of literally the ‘beautiful wheel’ as their weapon that revolved round their index finger (which a palmist associates with Guru, or Moon that believably rules human head!)! And so on…

Anonymous said...

Although 'I' have earlier also written about it, perhaps ‘I’ should have also added that the little finger on human hand is believed by ‘palmists’ to indicate the colour ‘Green’ (for they advise green emerald to wear on the little finger whereas Yellow Sapphire is advised on the Index finger) or earth that holds bigger mountains compared to mount Goverdhan near Mathura/ Brindaban in the Ganga-Jamuna valley, viz. the relatively higher and longer ranges of Mountains, the Himalayas in its north and in the south, the Vindhyas!

And, it mightn’t be just coincidence that both ‘Head & Life lines’ on the palm start together at the base of the index finger, while the ‘Heart Line’ starts at the base of the little finger running in the opposite direction, towards the index finger!

The very same little finger is believably the ‘root’ of both ‘heart’ and ‘small intestine’, for the ‘channel’ or ‘nadi’ related with heart is indicated by the ‘acupuncturists’ to start from the inner side of it at the point where the topmost of the three lines on it meets its inner edge, and that of the small intestine diagonally opposite it on the outer side of the palm!

Anonymous said...

The acupuncture points, Li – 1 to Li – 5, or ‘windows’, on the Large intestine Meridian are believed to lie on the back side of the palm, starting from the index finger near the outer edge at the base of the nail and ending with Li – 20 on the face near the nostril...

Whereas, similarly, the point on the Small Intestine Meridian, Si – 1, lies on the little finger on its outer side and runs along the backside of the palm, ending in Si – 18 in the face near the ear…

Perhaps Dr Anil could write better about it, however ‘I’ give below in brief the role of duodenum, one of the three parts of the small intestine...as 'I' understood it...

The eight-metre-long intestinal tract in human body is an elaborate food processing plant that feeds us after making the ‘poisonous food intake’ acceptable for the final secretion to be let into the blood stream…

’Wise’ ancient Yogis also said, “Food itself is poison!”

Of course, digestion of food starts in the mouth and the stomach. After which the highly acidic ‘creamy soup’ enters through a gate-keeper valve in small quantities at a time into the intestines to save its linings, which would otherwise result in ulcers…for the small intestine has a duodenum whose secretion makes the blood stream to make the pancreas to secrete its alkaline content into it to neutralize the acid...

And, the three main enzymes in the pancreatic juice help tear proteins, fats, and carbohydrates apart into basic building blocks…

Anonymous said...

The aforesaid was depicted by the ‘wise’ ancient ‘Hindus’ as “Shiva consuming ‘visha’ the poison that resulted from the churning of the Milky Ocean in the beginning – thanks to Parvati, His consort"!

In the ‘Christian Era’ when the ‘Truth’ began to be researched by the ‘modern scientists’, in the last few centuries, Louis Pasteur perhaps was the first to see the microbes through a microscope in his lab. He called them ‘little animals’...And, we have come to learn that the small intestine has besides the 25 centimetres of duodenum, adjacent to the stomach; followed by two and a half metres of jejunum; then four metres of slightly smaller diameter ileum.
Next comes the about two-metres-long large intestine...

To a great degree, the upper portion of the large intestine is free of microbes that get killed by the strong acid in the stomach. But, the lower intestine contains over 50 varieties of microbes, a virtual microbe zoo!

And, the Yogis believed the 'mooladhar bandha' to house the 'essence' of planet Mars, or perhaps the 'vanar sena' of Hanuman the servant of Rama the Suryavanshi King', or the model of Sun, whose essence is believed to be housed in the stomach region, or the 'solar plexus' or 'manipuraka bandha'!

JC said...

The above-cited perhaps could be the 'modern Ramayana' that ‘I’ has understood, as one of the models of Shiva who is all the time consuming poison – through water, air, food…and still have survived for decades (even in the present human form) without getting decayed despite the microbes that ‘I’ carries within him!

And, Anilji & Kavithaji, with the experience ‘I’ has gathered through personal observation, it is seen that in many cases urinary tract infection (uti, like shock once given by UTI to a large numbers in India) due to e-coli that normally remains happy in the lower intestine has been the main cause of trouble on account of its spreading even into the human kidney – one of the parts of the ‘mooladhar’ that normally helps in getting rid of the ‘poison’! And, the ancients dedicated nine nights, when Moon rules (and one day when the Sun or Brahma - as one of the aspects of Trimurty Shiva - rules) to the various forms of Mother Parvati who helped Shiva to hold ‘kalkoot’ in His neck (the house where essence of planet Venus, that is ‘Skandhamata’ the mother of Kartikeya, is housed!

Hindu Mythology therefore appears to be a tongue-twister or a ‘puzzle’ to ‘ordinary man’, perhaps because of twisted-mind, on account of ‘churning of the ‘Milky Way Galaxy’ that is Vishnu/ Krishna’s sudershan-chakra!!

‘My’ head goes spinning even when ‘I’ watches Gujaratis perform the ‘dandiya’ during Navratris:-)
'I' enjoys it anyway;-)

Kavithaji,

‘Kushmanda’ is one of the names given by the ‘wise’ ancient Hindus to the ‘Mother’, where Kushamanda means the vine that creeps on the ground and bears pumpkins that generally grow into big size...

In the west, the fruit is particularly used in the Haloween, on the 31st October, while in India, in the states of Maharashtra and West Bengal it is cultured and used in making of a grand variety of musical instruments, viz. Veena, Sitar. Ektara, etc. And, everyone knows that Veena is associated with the Goddess of Learning that is Saraswati…and Ektara with 'vairag' or detachment - the Yogis!

The Yogis imagined the human body to have been formed in the fashion of a vine, growing from the ‘mooladhar bandha’ (representing Mars) upwards and having seven numbers, or so, ‘fruits’, that is, different ‘bandhas’ at intermediate levels, to finally reach the ultimate desired fruit, that is, Moon that lies in the head at ‘sahasrara bandha’...

The vine can therefore be imagined in human body to grow up vertically during the day, when man remains standing/ sitting most of the time. And, only when man is asleep, does it can be imagined to grow horizontally – like creeping on the ground! The ‘fruits’ generally are believed to grow better during the night, as in the example of Lord Vishnu who remains ever reclined in the middle of the Milky Ocean, in Yoganidra!

There is a joke heard about a person who was preparing to sleep under a palm tree and thought God was foolish to have provided pumpkins, the big fruits, in a slender vine that crept along the ground while He provided dates, the small fruits, in high and strong sky-scraping palm trees!

Just as he sat down, a small fruit fell from the great height on his head without hurting him! He thanked God for the immediate reply and for His wisdom in not providing pumpkin-like fruit on the palm tree;-)

Kavitha Kalyan said...

Hi Joshi Uncle,

Interesting piece on the pumpkin there. The mrityunjaya mantra makes references to the pumpkin metaphorically and in the adouration of the Lord through that mantra, the human "being/mind" wishes to become more knowledgeable with life's experiences similar to a pumpkin and detach from the root of the creeper, just as the soul leaves the body.

The secret of death is to conquer it with immortality which need not necessarily mean long life in this current state of human birth but means immortality in another form yet to be known and understood.

Hence the pumpkin has more than a story to say about itself, it seems to be our only possible path to the truth.

Kavithaji,
The ancient ‘wise Hindus’ believed in one God and all other apparent physical forms as untruths, like images in a mirror. Thus it is not a dialogue, but a monologue, as it gets reflected from your blog too!

Anonymous said...

Yes Kavithaji, The ancients realized such happenings as communications from God for the ‘wise’. The fruit of the pumpkin detaches itself on its own from the vine when it ripens! In Hindu houses, on religious functions, a preparation from pumpkin was considered a must.

And, in so far as immortality is concerned, the Yogis realized the soul to be the all important and the only immortal content within any form. It, that is a part of the supreme soul, was supposed to be ever changing bodies with the apparent time such that the ‘Truth’ could only be realized by the exterior form also, in human form only. The phenomenon was called merger of the soul with the supreme soul

Kavithaji,

'I' thought that it would be worthwhie mentioning that in the 'present' also, 'scientists' say that the nervous system before it finally gets attached to the brain within the head in appearance is like the stem of a vine...

And a nuro-surgeon once had expressed, to the effect, that the nervous system appeared to him like telephone cables with various branches going in different directions. And, that when he performed operations on his patients, the brain appeared to him like an instrument that needed some correction. It was in fact a miracle, an astonishing fact, that it was capable of expressing various emotions that are associated with us humans!

Anonymous said...

Hi Kavithaji,

The ancients seem to have looked for ways to communicate the ‘Truth’ to reach the 'aam aadmi' or the 'common man' of beievably 'low intelligence' even, which they came to realize at any time in the past...

For example, one could perhaps ‘enter their mind’ even in the ways we part our hairs!

We find in ‘India’ girls/ ladies ritually parting their hairs in the middle of the head, while men do it, generally, on the left side, or rarely on the right, although there might be some exceptional cases where parting is seen in the middle!

Maybe, once one had learnt in the ‘present’ about the findings related to difference in structure/ function of different hemispheres of brain in the males and females, one could attribute it to that!

For, it is learnt that in females both hemispheres perform both 'verbal' as well as 'visual' functions at the same time, and the information gets exchanged by diffusion between the two...It is perhaps because of this facility that many ladies can talk at the same time and also also comprehend what each said at the same time!

In the males, each hemisphere is however designed to do only verbal or visual function and, therefore perhaps, he is able to concentrate better on a particular channel of thought – and become ‘specialist’ in one of the different fields of activity!

However, a 'Hindu' was advised to attain ‘siddhi’, that is, ‘use the mind’s eye’ to analuyse the varios data collected and draw essence of the various ‘truths’ within the limited time made available to an individual, which varies from person to person and remains unknown and hence the advice to do it at the earliest…

‘Bhootnath Shiva’, for example, literally indicates Shiva as the 'Lord of the Ghosts'!

But, the word ‘bhoot’ in Hindi/ Sanskrit also implies ‘past’. Perhaps, therefore, read with the ‘Hindu concept’ of ‘Maya’ or illusion (like that created by people related with the make believe world of Cinema), a rational one that is a 'seeker' could interpret Bhootnath to mean the Formless Creator...

He believably is the only Supreme Being who was originally perfect in ‘spiritual field’ only and through evolutionary processes achieved ‘perfection’ in ‘apparent material’ too! That is, He believably achieved the state of ‘eternal bliss’ as it is perhaps reflected in the ‘video’ of innumerable forms in the apparent physical universe that it has apparently been ‘enjoying’ since time immemorial – through innumerable eyes of its images too!

Kavithaji, as the phenomenon apparently gets reflected in human life too, each individual apparently has a (selfish or selfless) purpose in mind when one performs any action, just as your apparent purpose is to reach the ‘present day youth’ to make them aware of ‘India’s rich cultural heritage’, similarly, the Creator too might have some particular purpose also in His ‘Divine dialogs’!

Hi Shri Mani,

Please excuse me, hoping that you wouldn't mind, 'I' have taken the liberty to copy/ paste your comments here so that Kavithaji, and/ or any other interested persons could get benefit from the thought expressed by you...

18 Oct 07, 11:55
Mani: Thank you M/s Kavitha for your dialog of Nandikeshwar(Nandi). I would like to add one more thing regarding Nandi. The importance of Nandi has theological importance too.

18 Oct 07, 11:59
Mani: Theologically speaking regarding Nandi, Nandi is at initiation stage. It is a great initiate for meditation & inner growth. the Bull which usually has a roaring sound becomes calm in meditational stage

18 Oct 07, 12:04
Mani: During meditation there is inner growth of any person. Its knowing oneself & mingling of soul consciousness with universal consciousness.
***************
Perhaps, that's what Hindu Mythology is about. The stories indicate how in the 'present' - that was once upon a time the 'remotest past' in the life of Shiva in 'imperfect' human form - 'iron machines', including man as apparently seen as robots in their crude form, were virtually ruling...

However, after achieving 'perfection', Bhootnath Shiva is now able to see the 'video film' of His past through His 'Third eye', as it is believably being seen through innumerable 'eyes' of man, or 'human being' as his 'prefectly evolved models'!

In short, the phenomenon is like 'my' apparently seeing countries - not visited by me personally - through various sources, including Bollywood films...

Maybe, one could also get a preview of Rama's return from 14 years' exile in 'Tretayuga' at the time of 'Dussehra' from return of Benazir Bhutto, from exile in London, to Karachi, 'SINDH', Pakistan today, during 'Navratri', before Dussehra in Kaliyuga!!!

Anonymous said...

Of course, it being the beginning of Kaliyuga, ‘Shiva the Destroyer’ showed His presence and His ‘relative superiority’ through His ‘bhootas’, that is, ‘ghosts’/ ‘ganas’ creating explosion of a grenade and a ‘human-bomb’ (Diwali cracker-like!) just after midnight of Oct 18th, or the beginning of the 'Durgashtami day', that reportedly resulted in ‘death’ (that is, release of some ‘imprisoned souls’ reportedly within 135 human forms, in the words of ‘Hindus’) and injuring hundreds others, while the majority was seen - on the TV - firing ‘anars’ or pomegranate shaped ‘Diwali fireworks’ after her arrival that we ‘present-day-Indians’, are used to ritually fire (as models of volcanoes to a ‘Hindu’ representing the destructive force, Ma Kali associated with Diwali in West Bengal) to celebrate return of Lord Rama with Sita and Lakshamana, and Hanuman too after victory over ‘Golden Lanka’ the symbolic ‘yellow coloured metal’, the colour, as essence of moon or La Lune, that is believably housed in the human head, which believably otherwise creates imbalance in the mind or ‘mun’ (Moon?) of an ‘ordinary man’/ lunatics – although each and every form believably is an image of Shiva, the Earth, represented symbolically by the numeral ‘8’, as seen earlier elsewhere in detail, that represents ‘infinity’ when written horizontally!

The number eight happens to be one short of ‘Nine’, the two numbers are indicted by the ancient Astrologers as the eighth and ninth planets of the Navgraha, Jupiter and Saturn respectively that both have rings, but Saturn’s are relatively more beautiful, larger and also appear absolutely fresh - brand new!

We have seen how the ‘Little finger’ and the ‘Index finger’ in human palm was realized by the ‘wise ancients’ to represent colours, Red and Yellow respectively representing the ‘centre of earth’ and ‘moon’ - as part of the now perfect and neutral composite earth, represented by Green colour on its exterior, rendered immortal by ‘Shakti’ or ‘Sati’ and her evolved form the asht-bhuja-dhari or eight-handed Durga, the spider-like spinner of web of ‘Maya’!

HAPPY DURGASHTAMI especially to ‘Sify People’! that have been responsible for creating hurdles in posting of this particular comment since 18/10 evening perhaps for reporting ‘apparent cheating/ negligence’ by their employees to their ‘customercare’, and therefore delaying internet connection to ‘me’!

‘I’ is enjoying it too as part of the drama and getting educated on how machines had apparently overpowered ‘humans’/ ‘robots’
:-)

Kavitha, Continuing with my monologue!

The latest ‘hot news’ in the newspaper was that bungee jumping and hand gliding have now virtually become obsolete!

The news that emanated from London was under the headlines “Forget bungee humping, space diving is new extreme sport.”

It appears a Captain Joe Kittinger holds a record set by him in 1960 jumping from 32 kilometre, reaching a speed of about 1,126 kmph in his 13 minute descent to the ground that has inspired extreme sport enthusiasts to beat his record, jumping from the edge of the space!

As ‘I’ had indicated earlier elsewhere, the ‘Hindu Mythology’ also suggests similar filling up of the space with ‘souls’ in the beginning, like multiplications of microbes by dividing and filling the space by moving outwards…which when seen in the reverse order would appear falling inwards – perhaps an indication from Bhootnath for the things to come!

Anonymous said...

Kavithaji, ‘I’ has observed absolutely dark (‘Krishna’) buffaloes seated in places which are generally avoided by ‘civilized man’ today – in muddy spots, coolly chewing the cud and, perhaps, ‘meditating’ – its own ‘divine dialogs within its head!). And, some ancient poets perhaps saw in them also the lotus that grows out of muddy water, which alone is praised by the ‘present day poets'!

It is interesting that not only black, or brown, or white cow’s milk alone, but also buffalo-milk is white in appearance – like sunrays (that hold many other colours also within it)! And the ‘eight-handed’ Ma Durga (the solar system perhaps in the modern thoughts) is depicted every Navratri all over India and, particularly in West Bengal, killing “Mahishasur”, that is, the demon in the form of a buffalo!

Thus in view of the accepted Hindu practice of depicting energy through female human forms, just as Ma Kali is symbolically represented by a dark skinned female with a red coloured protruded tongue, Ma Durga/ Gauri literally the fair-skinned one, obviously indicates the brighter side of human life because of illumination by Sun in so far as vision and as a source of energy are concerned. But, it is the moon in so far as ‘thoughts’ in human head are concerned that was perhaps indicated as the source of thoughts in human head – both positive represented by waxing moon, and negative by the waning one and therefore Mahishasur the 'dark buffalo' indicated just a symbol of ‘lack of overall knowledge’…The saying, "Kala akshar bhainsa barabar", in Hindi means that to the illiterates, letters in black ink appear like a buffalo!

Anonymous said...

On the 9th day (the numeral in appearance is similar to ‘zero’ with a ‘pig-tail’ that little girls sometimes are seen to sport on their heads – and some ‘brahmins too while many animals continue to have those 'naturally'!) of Navratri, continuing with the monologue, ‘I’ too found - as it is generally believed by ‘Hindus’ - that ‘Krishna’ is not only mysterious but mischievous too!

As ‘I’ had indicated earlier elsewhere, ‘I’ heard the ‘unknown’ speak to me in human voice, directly, only once…

In brief, ‘I’ was thankful that evening to Ma Kamakhya, the form of Creator responsible for fulfilling all human desires, when She helped me - the ‘apsmara purush’ that ‘I’ am, like the majority of humans today - to recall that the item ordered that morning by my wife was ‘koni’, in Assamese, that is, ‘egg’ in English, which ‘I’ was otherwise unable to recall and buy from the market on my way home from the office in Guwahati in the year ‘83!

And, as a confirmation of perhaps existence of ‘souls’ in the environment, ‘I’ once again apparently heard a woman sing in a crowded bus in New Delhi also – the voice apparently emanated from a magenta coloured shawl used by a man standing close to me!

It is perhaps known to everyone that New Delhi once was ‘Indraprastha’ in Dwaperyuga days where Krishna in human form believably roamed about for quite some time – like ‘I’ have done for many decades in the ‘present’, that is, Kaliyuga believably the remotest past of Shiva when He was yet to reach ‘perfection’ (that is become Brahma-Vishnu-Mahesha, the "trimurty' or the three aspects in Nature related with Creation, sustenance and transformation - in one) or had just started the process of evolution starting as ‘Krishna’, a representative of ‘Vishnu’!

And 'Krishna' says that one can apparently see Him reside within all while in reality the whole creation resides within Him (the universal void)!

Anonymous said...

The above-stated indicates the ‘Creator’ to be infinite in size - with innumerable dynamic galaxies acting as its various internal vital organs, one of which - called the Milky Way Galaxy - holds our ‘planet earth’ that houses innumerable ‘life forms’ that has its leader ‘humans’ as the believably most evolved form, who believes he can at least hold dialogs with the Creator through various ‘animals’, viz. Nandi the vehicle of Shiva; or Hanuman the flying monkey as ‘Sankat-mochan’, or Ganesha the elephant headed human as “Vighna-harta’. Or even humans, viz. Krishna/ Rama the representatives of Vishnu, and so on, at different times - as 'instruments' or mere mediums!

Anonymous said...

The above could perhaps be understood as the philosophy of the ‘Palmists & Astrologers’, considering composite planet earth/ Solar system as the ‘true images’ of the Creator, which account for wide range of behaviours reflected by the various elements of ‘Nature’ – expressed as ‘panchatatva’/ ‘panchabhoota’ consisting of space, air, earth fire and water...These five elements were realized as the basic elements that believably had gone into the formation of each and every physical form…

Anonymous said...

Besides EARTH as the main Provider for sustenance of physical life forms, the other planets or ‘grahas’ that perhaps naturally attract the attention of man, obviously, are same sized SUN and MOON the mysterious one, that although has apparently the same size as sun, unlike it, it undergoes a regular cycle of waxing and waning over a period of its one revolution around the earth, called a month...

The two appear like the rulers of ‘life on earth’ – during each day and each night, respectively…providing the required energy and also apparently exercising control for creation of the variety with the assistance of the other members of the ‘solar system’…

The Yogis realized permutations and combinations of the essences of the selected members of the solar system to have gone into the animal form to reflect the apparent variations in the behaviours of each form…

And, the Astrologers prepared charts based on the particulars of the time of birth etc of each individual that primarily showed the position of various grahas at the time of birth of the particular individual – from which they interpreted the likely ‘important events’ in ‘future, during one’s expected life span…while the Palmists attempted to ‘read’ from the lines on the palm, the likely behaviour of the ‘instrument’, with different fingers representing grahas…

upesh just says: give me study mantra (12:05h 20/10).

You cculd suggest one based on your study of the rituals in this regard. As far as ‘I’ is concerned, it is “Shivoham”, besides using gemstones based on the birth particulars for better effect…The ancients believed in determination of right gemstones provided by 'Mother Earth', and applying them correctly on hte body of the person concerned...

Best wishes to Shri Upesh!

Kavitha, although people generally evince interest in 'Indic' civilisation, but perhaps they have no time today to travel withing their own heads...and then they think it as their insult if someone tells tehm what the 'Hindu Thought' is about...

Another reaction to 'my' newspaper articles is give for perusal of your blog visitors.

This refers to JS’s ‘Town and shitty’ and also ST’s ‘Let’s promote the great Indic civilization’, (STOI) the Guru& Chela of ‘The Statesman’ days, maybe because of my connection with the same Newspaper as an ex-member of the ‘Benji League’ in the early fifties when ‘I’ won prizes of Rs, 2/= and Rs.5/= on different occasions – thus ‘I’ too ‘ate the salt’ of The Statesman – and now ‘eating bullet’!

Town & shitty is a beautifully worded description of a journey within the head, (both articles, of course, are mental journeys, ST appearing to have entered the Sanyashram, for which Ram had to kick the throne, as was done by Buddha and literally by Mahatma Gandhi too, at different times!). It's a travel over just 11 years, as an essence of the ‘Hindu Thought’ of Bhootnath Shiva’s journey from Satyuga to Kaliyuga repeated over 1000 times, from the ‘best’ to ‘better’ to ‘good’ to ‘bad’ to ‘worse’ to perhaps the’worst’ – perhaps expected shortly one more time, describing the different phases in the evolution of ‘Googaon’ as it originally was in Kaliyuga when the ‘churning' to result in the now evolved 'milky ocean’, or Milky Way Galaxy, was just started by both devtas and rakshashas - the selfless and the selfish!

The churning believably resulted in appearance of poison, that is, ‘halahal’ or ‘kalkoot’ literally the ‘crusher of time’ that Mahakal, that is, Shiva the Destroyer, as one of the aspects of Trimurty, Brahma-Vishnu-Mahesha or the three-in-one God alone could consume ‘Visha’, the opposite of Shiva’, for He alone is immortal – and came to be known as Neelkantha or ‘blue throated’ like our present day polluted EARTH that is called the ‘Blue Planet’! And so on, for Hari ananta, Hari katha ananta…”

One who has seen a man-made museum can perhaps see the physical universe to similarly reflect Creator's museum...

Hi Joshi UNcle

I had earlier written a comment to you this morning which i forgot to post. I was just going to tell you that I was not capable of giving mantra upadesha.

I do hope Upesh finds a solution.

Hi Kavithaji, Mantras sometimes do help take your mind away from the otherwise ‘troubling thoughts’, say, for some time at least and maybe thus allowing diversion of mind to other 'neutral' or 'positive' thoughts thereafter...
