Ecstacy in the experience of divine art

Have we ever wondered what the court of Indra might have looked like? This is a heavenly city among the clouds, floating in space, brimming with activity and carefully placed well beyond the radar of human consciousness. It’s a city so beautiful, where the magic of life and the miracle of consciousness can be sensed in every pulse of one's own awareness.

They say it is a land of purity, of super men, whom we call Devas, celestial beings with superior knowledge of life and an ever pulsating consciousness that can be an intoxicant to enjoying divine experience. This is the land of super powers, who not only spend their time creating a balance of goodness in the global aura that surrounds the universe, they are constant worshipers of the supreme beings, the core of all spiritual power, the trinity and with this realization they create a world that glitters in such beauty, its too breath taking for us to even sense.

And in this divine court that glows in such light that equals a million suns, where air is so fresh, water is so crystal clear there is music that reverberates from the instruments played by the celestial Gandharvas to whose beat dance one of the most ravishing Apsaras described in the Indian scriptures.

They are not just beautiful in their divine femininity, they are not oozing sensuality on the floor, no none of this... they are the very embodiment of beauty describing a very different consciousness. In their divine glow, and in their graceful movements they dance on the royal floor of Indra's court waking up the divine senses to the superior arts of divine love in the form of dance coupled with an intellect that supersedes any earthly knowledge we know today. These are women of superior power, with sharp intellect that can challenge any being, with beauty that can overwhelm the onlooker and with grace that can weaken any mortal mind. And they had their place in the heavens, of respect, of power, and of divine love for the supreme, untouched, protected, and honored.
*-*-*

Back here on mortal earth, men tried to create one such ambiance within the temple walls and as close to divinity as possible. Women were associated into the temple arts of love, of divine music, of dance that relived the presence of the supreme beings and accentuated their mythological exploits.

They came to be known as Devadasis, the divine women, the Lord's attendants, who were married to the very Lord himself and had dedicated their lives to the divine entertainment of the Lord, creating a similar mortal court of Indra back here on earth. Their qualifications were difficult to achieve, and unless they dedicated their lives from childhood to this divine art of love, they probably never reached such levels of high honor.

But there was a flaw in this system, and we forget mortals are mortals, no matter how superior their education into the truths of the sacred texts is. When it came to describing beauty, the focus apparently shifted, from the love of divine art in grace, and dance and music to the very sensuality of the woman who displayed it. The more the woman displayed her grace, and her beauty in the arts, the more she probably attracted the spiritual men who worshipped the Lord within these walls into the mortal sensual world of beauty.

The difference between superior beings and mere mortals is very apparent in the truth of this tradition. Supreme beings focus on self consciousness, on accentuating their enlightenment on divinity where the body if any doesn’t really count. It is about the superior rise in consciousness. Mortals don’t take too long to fall prey to their pleasures related to the mere flesh and bone. The more beautiful the flesh, the more they want the power to control it, losing every sense of control on their self consciousness.

And this practice over time, has led the way to "divine prostitution" maybe well within the very walls that were meant to attribute these arts to the Lord himself. The cult degenerated, the women reduced to mere toys of sensual pleasure with male supremacy overpowering their existence. Maybe some enjoyed it, some didn’t, but none the less the very death of honor and protection to the women in this practice displays their hypocrisy of the human mind and its complete weakness.

The men in this world were the best intellects the mortal world apparently produced, they were the closest to the Divine Lord, they had dedicated their lives to the study of superior knowledge to lead the way to lesser mortals and yet, when all knowledge failed and the animal power of the body took over the divine consciousness of the mind, is there any honor left in these men?

Whether the women were a party to this crime or whether they were forced to submit to the celebration of this derogatory art, or whether they lived in a free society where the art of divine expression of sensual love was not a taboo is a debatable topic. None the less, we lost the heavenly beauty of the realization of self consciousness in the experience of these arts that have been so carefully brought down the ages and knitted into our society.

What we need to realize is where honor really lies, in animal instinct that governs and overwhelms of sensual existence or in divine thirst for supreme awareness that makes this very sensuality appear like a decease. To all the confused souls who search for the divine truth on this planet, whose minds are unstable and flutter from one sensual pleasure to the next, isnt the truth within the quality of thought we harbor?

How then can the mind experience the divine embedded in sacred art if the mind searches for the grace in the mortal body of a woman instead of searching for divine love in her eyes for the Lord?

Kavitha, What 'I' could understand, from reading between lines the Hindu mythological stories, is that as man is a model of the universe (that's in reality an ever expanding dark void that believbly started from a dot or Nadbindu, the point or formless source of infinite energy who reportedly created the innumerable phyical forms within the void), each human form, as the most evolved physical form, has total information recorded within one (in eight points, where each represents the essence of one of the galaxies/ selected members of the solar system, from Sun to Jupiter as Indra and Guru Brihaspati and six others, ie, the 'Devas' concerned),,, while the essence of the ninth of the navgrahas, (Saturn, is represented by the Nervous system, central and sympathetic,,, and provides the possible total energy/ information for collection from all intermediate poins to the brain,,, the top most point, which in fact is a super analogical computer)...

Thus all physical forms were considered as computers of the foermless being that perform multiple tasks for His convenience...

However, the forms of Kali and Durga etc. can easily be realised as forms of destructive or creative forms of energies (all depicted mostly as four or more handed, compared to humans the relatively lesser energy forms on earth, each playing some important role to reach the Truth,,,of earth as Shiva, moon as Parvati and the selected nine members of solar system as Mahashiva, the poisonous planet Venus representing Kartikeya or Neelkanth Shiva as its different images, essence housed at human throat the source of sound, OM and its innumerable forms or images one hears in 'Nature'...However, the basic point, the seat in human form, is believed to house the essence of planet Mars, represented by Ganesha/ Hanuman/ Bhima etc at different Yugas (to reflect the process of evolution, from mortals in the Kaliyuga, when poison ruled, to the immortal solar system at the end of Satyug when Moon appeared as the Mohini or ttractive form of Vishnu when Amrit was attained after 'churning' in four stages was completed)...

Observing that all objects in Nature, viz. the Panchtatva (five basic elements that necessarily go into the formation of any and every physical form), are continuing to perform since time immemorial some useful purpose, the ancient 'Hindus' apparently did indepth studies (from within) to know the purpose of the mysterious 'human life' on earth (Shiva that superficially continues to change with Time), besides studying the whole animal world vis-a-vis the selected members of our solar system (Mahashiva) that's estimated to exist in the 'present' for over 4 billion years while human life-span relatively is like a 'flash in the pan', only 100 years (+/-), and apparently continuing on earth since a much smaller duration and apparently is still evolving, Homo sapiens relatively rapidly over the last few centuries only...

'Hindus', (thanks to Ganga/ Moon ie, Indu?) apparently realised human form necessary for the indestructible soul that believably attains human form for the first time only after it has already passed through 8.4 million different animal forms,,, in a cycle of evolution of formless to Shiva/ Mahashiva with forms, ie, earth individually as also other members of our solar system apparently achieving immortality (thanks to Moon, the source of Ganga?),,,to eventually reach the Truth...

The versatility of human brain is realized, even by a ‘common man’, when just a word heard could make one virtually lost to the ‘present’ and teleport one mentally to the ‘past’ and, like reading a book, bring to mind information related with that word as it is recorded in the brain based on personal experience in the past!

However, there are limitations, for the present day ‘scientists’ have learnt that although human brain has billions of cells, even the ‘most intelligent’ man today is able to tap only a negligible fraction of those! And, no surprise that wise ‘Hindus’ indicated it as a natural phenomenon, (as per the grand design), related with Time (in Yugas) with the passage of which, like an instrument, the human efficiency decreases from 100% at the end of Satyuga (range 100 to 75%) to 0% at the end of Kaliyuga, (range 25% to 0%), the era of ignorance,,, and the ‘present’ is understood as Kaliyuga, or/ rather nearly its fag-end, or / rather the beginning of the ‘churning’ when poison emerged in the beginning (and today there is poison in all food articles, drinking water, and air too) …and also that this cycle (of Mahayugas, ie, the set of four yugas, repeats 1080 times during, what they called, one day in the life of Brahma (of over 4 billion terrestrial years),,,and His night of an equal duration follows His day (earth also moves from one ice-age to another!)…

In essence, (satva or satya) the ancient wise Hindus conveyed the Truth in three, plus two, words, “Satyam Shivam Sunderam” / “Satyameva jayate”, ie, ‘Shiva alone is the only truth and He alone is beautiful’ / ‘He alone is immortal’…

With the background knowledge that physical forms in reality convey some energy, just as the images of four-handed Kali and eight-handed Durga respectively convey destructive energy and creative energies’’, as inferior images of the original point source of infinite energy, Nadbindu…In the grand design, Shiva’s model or image, man, was graphically depicted as ‘Apsmara Purush’, ie, forgetful man, who cannot recall the past, and is shown under the foot of Shiva the Natraj… It obviously depicts graphically, earth as the model of Shiva the immortal, and earth as part of the selected nine members from sun to Saturn as Mahashiva, critically balanced in space, analogous to a person who walks a tightrope in air and thus could fall to the ground if one loses concentration that only comes with sadhana or training of mind only,,, and Shiva is depicted in stories going into deep meditation in a super conscious state (Yognidra)…The reflection of the phenomenon in humans, or even inferior animals, is reflected in the appearance of dreams, ie, projection of images in the third eye that, in fact, convey the possibility of whole animal world as projection in the Third Eye of Shiva for He alone believably exists in the universe (ie, Brahmand, the single word conveying Brahma the formless as life yet to be born, that is, unborn)!!!

Once one apparently enters, or/ rather finds entry as per the grand design or script, in to the minds of the ancient Hindu Yogis, ie, elevated souls who indicated man as an image of God, Bhootnath Shiva, ie, the one and only formless being who is reviewing His Own past through His innumerable images, one could perhaps enjoy blissfully the Hindu mythological stories,,, with the background belief that what one watches in reality is a film-like projection of the past of the God... Although only a small part is reviewed by each soul, in different innumerable forms during the given time interval, depending on its stage or elevation where it was at the end of Brahma's last day during review in His Third Eye of His journey from zero to infinity, from poison in the beginning to Amrit provided to devatas, ie, the selected members of our solar system, ie, Mahashiva, at the completion of the 'churning of the milky-ocean'...

While Sunday is named after our hot Sun (perhaps therefore a closed day, or 'day of rest'!), Saturday is named after Saturn the cool planet, that perhaps could be imagined as the coldest vessel (out of the nine active members of the solar system, a heirarchical system that's believably responsible for the drama in human life) that can absorb relatively higher amount of energy when interacting with other hot, or even relatively cooler vessels, ie, concerned planets,,, and as per ancient Hindus, its essence believably represents the nervous system in animal form, and that serves in making energy/ information flow from all over the body to brain, and vice versa as command to the vital organs to take necessary corrective measures, if any required...

Today we also know that it is particularly our Sun that is responsible for rain that provides life-giving potable water on earth (and Hindus called Indra as the rain god, the king of suras or devatas, and thus one could visualise Sun referred as Indra and thus his courtiers allude to planets or members of solar system),,, and that it is on the basis of the apparent realisation, of the 'Truth' (Shiva the Supreme Soul etc), 'we Hindus' generally continue to ritually call Sun, the source of all direct and indirect energy on earth, as 'Suryadev', just like any individual (selfless) human being (man realised formed of essences of nine selected members of our solar system itself, together called Mahashiva, including one rakshasha named Rahu, but his head and body separated), as compared to rakshashas, or demons, the apparently selfish persons, but who also serve some useful purpose in the eyes of the formless 'Creator'...

However, "Truth is bitter' expresses the essence of knowledge. And, perhaps as an example in the present, the one and only satellite of earth, moon, appears beautiful from a distance. But, scients' have realised it virtually a dead heavenly body, for it cannot support any life (as we know exists on earth)!

And Hindus, similarly, appear to have found the apparent life on earth a Three-dimensional (3D)projection, ie, illusory (mayavi), in the third eye! The images depend on the level up to which Saturn/ Mars allow energy to rise above the 'Mooladhar chakra' the basic seat, and corresponding message received by the brain,,, thus different versions of the same phenomenon apparently vary from one person to another!

The story of 'Mahabharat', pertaining to Dwaper Yug, with Krishna (typical model of the centre of our Milky Way Galaxy) as the friend and advisor of the Pandavas, five brothers: Yudhister (typical model of Earth, ie, Shiva the Bhola Nath or simple god); Arjun the expert archer (typical model of Sun from which emanate sunrays, like arrows, in all directions); Gadadhar Bhima the mace holder, like Hanuman of Treta Yuga and Ganesha of Satya Yuga (all typical models of Mars in different yugas that reflect the process of evolution, while its two satellites, Demos and Phobos represent two other younger brothers Nakul and Sahdev/ wives Riddhi & Siddhi, responsible for providing control over 'material' and 'spiritual' to Mars reflected by their models in human forms too in different Yugas, Satyuga through Kaliyuga!...

Death of Abhimanyu, the son of Arjun (representing a typical model of a star), in the hands of Maharathis, or great charioteers (could imagine them as models of six other members of our solar system, other then Sun, Earth, and Mars) who knew how to enter only the 'Chakravyuh' without the knowledge how to come out of it,,, could thus be visualised to represent all humans who perform actions (3 types) without knowing their purpose,,, which according to Yogis is to know the one and only formles creator, and His physical forms too: Brahma-Vishnu-Mahesh the three facets of the formless (represented by sound energy 'OM') that are respectively responsible for creation, sustenance, and destruction, or/ rather transformation of mortals,,, as the 'scientists' also know today how a star, after its 'death', depending on its original mass compard to the mass of our Sun as datum, turns into a 'White Dwarf', or 'Neutron Star' or 'Pulsar', and Black hole that is believed to be housed at the centre of our galaxy that appears in the form of a disc that is thick at the centre and thin at the edges (sudershan-chakra of Krishna to Hindus)! Represented by ring-planet Jupiter, compared to which Saturn, another ring-planet, is much more beautiful (considered by Hindus as four-handed Vishnu, the supreme form of Krishna, realised by Arjun in the battle of Kurukshetra, the battle field of Kuru kings,,, and in Dwaper Yuga it was the blind Dhritarashtra, who needed Sanjay to narrate to him what all was happening in the battle field,,, for Sanjay, with the blessings of his Guru, could view in his 'third eye' what all happened anywhere (and highly elevated Yogis, at any time, who can make total energy reach one point in the head, or near it even, are believed capable of performong miracles!)...

Could it be just a coincidence that on Amavasya, a dark (krishna) night (opposite of purnima, ie, full moon, that is depicted as the 'attractive form of Vishnu' that's believably responsible for rendering immortality to devas, the selfless beings), OBAMA watched on TV, sitting in the White House, OSAMA being killed by American commandos? (Hindus indicated opposite pairs as Kansa & Krishna; or Ravana & Rama !!!)...

Dosen't it sound like the reflection of Dhritarashtra, a blind Kuru king in Dwaper Yuga, perhaps thus indicating a common man or a spiritually inferior being acting as king (reflection of Indra the sun, responsible for 'rajas actions),,, with the background that Queen Mirabai of Mewar, in her popular poem, indicated the style of functioning of Krishna,,, to whom she was 'spiritually married' (ie, all actions surrendered in Him!),,, the 8th. or most evolved avatar, or image of Vishnu (formless Nadbindu) incomprehensible... For He apparently placed fools on the thrones while Pundits, the literates, remained materially poor...

And, another common man, Sanjay the son of a charioteer (an image of Krishna, as Krishna is depicted as expert archer Arjuna's charioteer, reflections of centre of galaxy and our Sun?!) who although wasn't himself apparently a highly elevated soul, while an apparently elevated soul, a Yogi, could made it possible to grant special powers to him to see in his 'third eye' all actions that were being performed in the battle-field of Kurukshetra while seated in the palace of the then King!

'I' give an extract form one of 'my' own comment in Hindi in another blog, as essence, for those who are conversant in Hindi language...

The ancient wise Hindus, the yogis, or Siddhas the all rounders, left many hints in the Hindu mythological stories, such as, to the effect, "I am Brahma", or "I am Shiva", that is, in sign language, after realising their origin,,, for one to attempt oneself reaching the 'Truth', for although the 'common man' were yogis, images of God themselves, due to time moving from Satyug (range 100% to 75%) to Kaliyuga (range 25% to 0%, in four stages or Yugas, they were realised, and depicted, as 'Apsmara Purush',,, (under the foot of Natraj Shiva, ie, in fact our planet Earth that rotates around its own axis, and together with other members of the solar system, suspended in space),,, the forgetful man who was unable to recall his or her past and thus unable to reach the 'Truth' of the physical world / universe, or the 'Absolute Truth' of the 'creator' as a formless being, they called Nadbindu the point source of infinite energy that used sound energy for creation of the physical universe and for its own evolution from a point to an infinite void...

Thanks! As 'I' explained earlier elsewhere too, 'I' try to give, in brief, replies to questions raised in the post, maybe at different times...and also attempt to clear doubts if any raised by any visitor or the blog owner thereafter...

However, it's a fact that many feel shy to pose questions, doubting others might think him or her as naive! 'I therefore sometimes feel 'I' was talking to walls!

'I' realised Hindu mythological stories need to be read by 'scientists' especially, for 'we' know the ancient Hindus were advanced scientists (all rounders or Siddhas) who believed in reaching the root of creation,,, and the modest present day scientists too realise that they need still much more time to reach the goal (maybe because they are stubborn and fail to surrender in God, which was stated by ancient Hindus as the basic condition to reach the 'Absolute Truth' of God residing within one and all! But, failing to reach Him on account of disbelief in the one and only formless Supreme Being, the 'Divine Person' of the ancient wise!)...Stephen Hawking expressed desired to enter the mind of God!

Good luck!

"... This is a heavenly city among the clouds, floating in space, brimming with activity and carefully placed well beyond the radar of human consciousness...", said Kavitha based upon the generally accepted Hindu concept, or image of Indra, the king of devas (selfless beings), and his courtiers who generally are shown showering flower petals on elevated souls in human form on earth...

In Bhagavadgita (literally the song of God, the 'Absolute Truth', or formless being who resides in all physical forms), the human form is indicated as 'an inverted tree',,, ie, just as trees have routes in earth (Shiva), man has his roots in Mahashiva, in 'sky', or space,,, (ie, he, or she, or it; male, female, and neutral gender all are formed of essences of nine (9) numbers selected members of our solar system,,, from Sun (number 1) to Saturn (number 9): eight numbers up to Jupiter, as controllers of 8 different directions, housed as 'chakras' from seat to head, and the ninth controls 2 directions, upwards and downwards,,, and is responsible for flow of energy from brain to different parts of the body through the elaborate nervous system network (reflected by river network on earth)...

As experienced during sleep (called half-dead state by 'Hindus'), thoughts in the brain appear in the form of images. But, when one is apparently awake, the images appear converted into words, which are basically represented by humans through alphanumerical symbols, and/ or graphical images that help better comprehension of thoughts in all communications, as one who uses PCs today would know it...The Hindus represented energy stored in different 'chakras' representing different members of the solar system through human forms: the apparent hierarchy observed in 'Nature' getting reflected in the different administrative systems among humans...and the apparent degradation of the 'material system' through yugas, or eras, also gets reflected through human systems through the fall with time of human efficiencies...
