Chandra Yoga - The moon light, a drop of immortality

The elixir of life
The divine rays of the moon
The soft reflection of cool light
In the water of the stream that flows

The sounds of the ripples
Awakens the primordial sound
Bringing alive the subtle world
As I immerse my being in this flow

The universe brightens
The night sky all clear
The chill in the air sweeps by
In the pure breath that dives within

I am jeeva, I am life
I am this phenomenon present now
The shimmering waters cover my soul
Opening the channels of life within my breath

I drink this elixir of life
This wholesome breath enriches my soul
My body submerged in these divine ripples
I hear the primordial sound in my ears

I rise out of the waters
Tiny silvery droplets cover me
I wear this shimmering cloak
Moon droplets cover my being

The night has set in, the moon rises high as I step into this ocean of peace. The waters are silent shimmering in the moon light bathe me in this heavenly theater. I breathe, taking in this silent intoxication as I wake up to the shining rays of the moon defined by Kaala that brings energy of a different kind that needs to be consciously experienced during the pattern of regular breathing.

In the pleasant silence under the night sky shimmering with stars and other heavenly celestial bodies, my mind drifts into the wholesome breath that fills my lungs. Cool breeze in steady flow, pass through one nostril as I hold my breath to feel the chill in the air. The calm in the air brings alive the moment of lull, the equilibrium that knows no time, no kaala, no breath but just this cool sensation that begins to grow within myself. The breath gets slower, the exhalation lesser and the air turns into this growing elixir that stays on longer, bringing the senses to a halt.

The body relaxed, the senses settled, the mind at rest is the definition of this equilibrium. The night is quiet and all have slept leaving its beauty ready to be experienced by inner vision. The full moon glows, the light penetrates the space, the air settles and the magical world of the celestials comes alive. They have come too, to worship the supreme, to appreciate the untouched beauty of divine creation while the world rests in deep slumber.

As the moon waxes the kaalas expand, the rays become stronger and brighten this world, and as the moon wanes they contract fading into the darkness slowly. Every night I visit this stream, I breathe and experience this beauty that appears in my mind, this world that awakens within my consciousness. This is the world of Kundalini, as it rises from the Muladhara to the Sahasrara. This is the heat, this is the fire, and this is the Agni Kundalini that arises from the Muladhara to the Anahata as it awakens me at every point, as the lotus of my consciousness blooms. I rise from the Anahata, the Kundalini now glows as bright as the sun, bringing alive the surya mandala that has been lying dormant in me. This awakening is silent, in the moon lit night as the energy rises up towards Susumna. My breath is rhythmic, the nadis open, I breathe in wholesome and rise to Chandra Kundalini. Here the Kundalini resides at Sahasrara, here my energy converges into the divine as Turiya Kundalini.

With every rise of Kundalini I hear my heart resound, I hear the beat of creation as the rhythm of subtle life is ignited with every breath that flows through me. I am the self sustaining, I am one with the divine, and I am life that lives a thousand years. I stand here under the starry sky, as I feel the celestials arrive, blessing me in their divine light, that bathes me in the silence of this moonlit night. This is the world of the divine - of the devas, of the gandharvas and of the greater Gods, who bless me - as the Sun glows in his splendor blowing his conch and awakens the celestial world, welcoming me home.

This is pure consciousness, this is “chit”, this is the moment of truth, and in this silent moon lit night, I hear the divine couple play this beautiful game of dice. This is another world so far removed from the noise of maya that I have been sucked into. This is the pure sound of the pranava mantra, the sound of creation, the sound of OM. As the divine dice roll on, it is a small play of love, of union between Lord Shiva and his consort, Tripurasundari. This is the world of Lord Shiva and Tripurasundari, their beauty overwhelming as the Mother blesses me with her half opened eyes that bloom like water lilies in the night sky. This is pure elixir, this is pure amrita, this is somaskanda, that bring me to witness the divine couple within my mind, awakening my soul to new renewed undying consciousness.

Hi Kavitha, it's interesting...'I' would like to add that Hindu mythology - being based on advanced 'scientific' knowledge - appears mysterious to the average person in the 'present'...but the stories, if read between lines with the 'present' day findings by the 'western scientists' in mind, could perhaps help one to realise the solar system as immortal but exhibiting heirarchical characteristic properties among the different members with Moon acting as the most evolved one (the Mohini form of 'Yogeshwar' Vishnu)...

And also we have earlier seen how each of the selected members of the solar system were realised by the ancient wise to rule one out of the eight directions with the central one (ring-planet Saturn) acting as the controller of the upward as well as downward directions. The 'navgrahas' (literally nine planets) thus have continued to be worshipped by 'Hindus' (the word obviously derived from 'Indu' the Moon). The name apparently given to inhabitants who were called thus apparently because they used the lunar calendar for determining their auspicious occasions...and historians apparently confusing the issue by indicating the origin to the name of the river, Indus, but not claryfying why the river got the said name! Yogis, however, indicate the essence of Moon to be housed in the human head, at 'sahasrara chakra', whereas the essence of planet Mars is indicated housed at the 'Mooloadhar Chakra', ie, the base, as the root of energy that is linked with the normally dormant energy of planet Saturn (Vishnu the sudershanchakradhari of the Hindu mythology)...

'I' had earlier also elsewhere indicated how a tantrik intimated me they attempted gaining spiritual power spending a fortnight in some isolated cemetry during the waxing moon cycle while performing certain rituals...

The moon was realised as the true image of the formless creator, zero time and zero space and, therefore, related with zero thought or silence that forms the origin of the name Muni given to those who reach a thoughtless or the stage of absolute silence...to activate the 'kundalini', ie, the release of information recorded at the mooladhar and make it reach the head, called the 'sahasrara' a short form of sahastradhara that is thousand channels (of flow of energy) that result in realisation of the 'Truth' of the existence of a unique supreme form...

Human form is realised by Yogis to be made from essences of selected members of our solar system, each concentrated at different levels ranging from the tip of the tail-bone to head, where the essence of the moon is housed in each and every being. It is therefore worth noticing that as per the basic thought each human being is Hindu! But, as part of the grand design, whereby each one is being tested, human race is apparently confused and thereby divided into different religions, named differently...and the word 'Hinduism' is now applied to the religion, or rituals, performed by those who by birth are 'Indians' and apparently perform 'idol worship' and therefore aren't united in thoughts due to different deities each person worships because of lack of knowledge of the Absolute Truth' - of existence of one and only Formless creator...

In nutshell, the 'Hindu belief' relates to a unique real being who is Formloess, Nadbindu, the point source of sound energy, depicted by 'Om', also graphically by a dot on the head of married females (depicting the location of moon's essence in the head of human forms), and numeral 3 (with certain attachments) representing the three-in-one god in physical form...called Treyambakeshwar Shiva - that is Brahma-Vishnu-Mahesh, representing the aspects of creation, sustenance, and destruction or transformation...

Kavitha, Perhaps like my ancestors, 'I' finally fail to realise His purpose of reviewing again and again the Nadbindu's Own Past by projecting the various images in its third eye that get reflected also in the form of dreams in humans, which is taken for granted by us humans, while relatively inferior tasks performed by humans are rewarded! And, Krishna says He is satisfied even if one offers water to Him!

Joshi uncle,

In all your wisdom, I hear sorrow... because i am beginning to realize this heaviness in the ignorance of people, the density of mass ignorance. How blind and dense can people be that even the great saints chose to hide the secrets of immortality and super spiritualism from them.

Because somewhere they knew we would burn its sanctity in materialism...

I hear pain in your words.. and i feed bad too...

Regards
Kavitha

Kavitha, It was under three decades ago that 'I' apprently realised the presence of some superior unseen being close to me...for what purpose? 'I' couldn't visualise...Over the years words of the vedantis (with 'my' background study of science subjects) appeared to make some sense...Maybe the 'pain' you refer is the helplessness of even the perfect being reflected through 'me', for He is related with zero and, therefore, obliged to review His Own past - perhaps to know the self...which the wise advised one to also attempt when the most evolved (human) form exists for a negligible time, which as per the characteristic property of Kaliyuga is the worst, for it reflects the events related with mass ignorance (that one appears to notice in the present material world)...

Kavitha, Most of 'us' overlook the fact that ancient wise indicate time (and therefore related events) to move from the materially most evolved stage to the apparently the earliest most stage of evolution triggered by the purely spiritual being throough Brahmnad that is 'Big Bang'. The two stages are called Satyuga and Kaliyuga respectively. Kaliyuga literally means the 'dark age' when pollution was rampant (deadly poison 'halahal' had emerged)...Only Gangadhar Shiva (Earth) could hold it in His neck - thanks to His consort, Parvati (Moon) providing 'somrus', ie., 'moonlight', which of course has the Sun as the apparent supplier of energy and, therefore, obviously the centre of our galaxy (where exists a Black Hole) that keeps our galaxy of innumerable heavenly bodies dynamic since time immemorial. (In the Gita, Krishna (meaning Black)says that it is Him who illuminates the Sun and the Moon...And, Yogis indicate presence of the essence of moon in human head, the highest pedestal provided to Jagadamba/ Parvati the daughter of Himalayas that has the source of life-giving water in the Mansarovar Lake that has the Mount Kailash in its middle (as the abode of Shiva-Parvati)!

The variety in human behaviour in different Yugas was explained by the wise Yogis to occur as part of a grand design whereby one got to see events related with time moving from the most evolved stage, Satyuga to Kaliyuga, the beginning of 'churning of the milky-ocean' when poison believably had emerged. Evolution however could proceed thanks to Shiva holding it in His throat while Parvati eventually succeeded in granting immortality to 'grahas' that is members of the solar system...And man being a model of the universe believably functions based on the same principles...

Thus in the present times, which is understood as Kaliyuga, human system appears to behave erratically due to the effects of the said poison...From the ritualistic use of gemstones found on earth (the most evolved heavenly body), perhaps one can improve the functioning of man. For that to happen in-depth research is needed, but the natural forces apparently do not easily allow one to swim against the current createde by the materialistic world...
