Potency of Sri Chakra Yantra

When the heavens open
bring forth the force
the wilderness the heat
the power alive
the potency let lose
the divine embrace
such energy released
the Goddess arrives

The power of the Mother
felt through in history,
a power so strong
mere humans crumble
the heat so much
it scorches the soul
no one can survive this fury
the Goddess brings alive.

Such was her fierceness
her Ughra swarupa
the heart fears
this form of the Goddess
burns away to ashes
all mankind those alive
who witness her fury alike

One such form is known as the Kali swarupa, where though she has warmth and appears coy, her fierceness rules supreme. In the Tamil Nadu landscape, we revisit this Goddess at 4 Shakti sthalas which stand out for their strangely mystical stories bearing almost the same solution to control her fury. Thiruvotriyur, Thiruvanaikkaval, Kanchipuram and Mangadu have each seen this anger of the Goddess in the ancient days.

There is another possible explanation to this theory of controlling her fierceness. It could have been possible that blood(animal) sacrifices might have been performed at some these altars to appease the Goddess and this practice was curbed. Also, these shrines of the Goddesses existed well before they were formally consecrated into temple shrines. The Goddesses energy was felt and experienced more than her physical presence was seen in stone at some of these shrines.

Mythology holds that Shakti manifests Herself as Thripurasundari at the current temple of Thiruvotriyur facing south. Her counterpart Vattaparai Amman resides in the north of the temple.

At Thirvanaikkaval the Goddess manifests herself as Akhilandeshwari in the ughra form, so fierce is her form that her devotees could not withstand the power.

At Kanchipuram, the Goddess takes the form Kamakshi Amman and manifests herself in ughra form, sending ripples of fury around, so much so that it could be felt among her devotees who walked along what is now the temple precincts.

At Mangadu (meaning Mango grove), Parvati was reborn as Sri Adikamakshiamman in repentance of her act of covering the Lord's eyes playfully which turned the whole universe into darkness for a short while causing unrest and fear in all creatures alive. Kamakshi is known to have waited here for Lord Shiva, to be wedded to Him as promised and when he didn't come she is believed to have performed the Panchagni Sadhana*, a fire ritual with five sacred yagnas, four yagnas burning around her each in a cardinal direction while she stood in the center of the fifth on her left toe, with the rising flames engulfing her right leg bent upwards as her hand stayed raised above her head holding the japamala(picture below). She came to be known as Sri Tapas Kamakshi at Mangadu. So fierce was her anger before She went to Kanchipuram to be finally married to Lord Shiva, as instructed by Him. The heat of these fires could still be felt by her devotees.

One thing is strangely common among all these forces of the Goddess. It took just one form of Lord Shiva to calm her fury down. Adi Shankaracharya mastered the art of conquering the fury of this Goddess and brought her back into the world as a warm and endearing mother to all her devotees, rather than as a fierce Goddess. Battling her Ughra form, he brought down this fury, this wild energy of the Goddess purely by a science unknown to all but felt within the self. He placed the potent Sri Chakra yantra with the Mother bringing down her fury across the lands.

This has been a divine dialog, one that Adi Shankara has with the divine mother Parvati in her various forms, this has been illustrated in recent times by Paramacharya Sri Chandrasekhar Mahaperivar, who also had enough and many dialogs with the divine mother before he finally took Samadhi and merged into her divine light. This also marked the end of possible sacrifies and brought into existence a more potent and friendly form of ritual practice that appeased the Goddess and depicted her as a Divine mother within her shrine chamber.

At Thiruvotriyur, Adi Shankaracharya installed the Sri Chakra Yantra opposite the shrine of Vattaparai Amman. At Thiruvanaikkaval Adi Shankarcharya is known to have made two sets of earrings called Tatankam, a pair of powerful Sri Chakra Yantra studs adorning both the ears of the Goddess, within her sacred shrine. At Kanchipuram, Adi Shankaracharya established the Sri Chakra yantra at the feet of the Goddess, within a gold metal plate that is installed and worshiped everyday. Adi Shankaracharya requested the Mother never to leave the temple complex, and hence symbolically the "utsavamurthy" of the Goddess takes leave of Shankaracharya at his shrine within the inner prakaram, before she leaves for her daily procession. At Mangadu Adi Shankaracharya is known to have installed the Ardhameru Sri Chakra yantra to appease the power and heat of the flames left behind by the Goddess.

Dwelling more into the form and power of the Sri Chakra, its value lies further and beyond mere material satisfaction. The Sri Chakra within the temple of every house in India brings alive the Goddess who resides within her shrine chamber and its not a mere Hindu manna machine for health wealth and happiness. A complex mystical diagram to calm the very fury of the Goddess, when the Gayathri mantra is chanted brings power and peace to the worshiper. Its a science of spiritualism, divinely illustrated by Adi Shankara that resides within our very own homes, at the center of which the bindu holds the seat of the Goddess Kamakshi, the Mother, in an endearing "Soumya" form.

*The Panchagni Sadhana is performed to kill five evils which dominate the mind leading one towards misery. The five evils are Kama (Desire), Krodha (Anger), Lobha (Greed), Madha (Ego) & Maacharya (Attachment). If one wins over all these five evils they can attain the supreme bliss and union with the Lord. This is depicted by Kamakshi Amman before she marries Lord Shiva.

Please excuse the audio in the embedded video, it appears to be Buddhist.

There is a saying in Hindi, “Bura jo dekhan mein chala/ Bura na miliya koi/ Jo dil khoja apna/ Mujhse bura na koi.” That is, when I looked for a bad person, I didn’t find one. However when I looked within myself, I realized that there was no one worse than me”.

Life was understood as illusory by the ‘wise ancients’, therefore perhaps for the average ‘modern humans’ like us, who are ‘imperfect’, but as a rule each one of us wants 'perfection' and seeks it in other things and persons only and thus judge all others as ‘imperfect’ and chose only that or those who we believe are the best of the lot...

The truth however is that we don’t dare to judge ourselves by the same standards that we set for others…

Life, though believably illusory - thankfully perhaps - was also realized as symbolic. Thus human being - in words essentially - is perhaps best expressed in the ‘modern’ saying, “A square peg in a round hole”.

The above can also be symbolically sketched in 2-D as a perfectly round, or a circular figure that has four ‘D-shapes’, representing the openings at the top being seen because of the square figure that can touch the circle only at four points because of the square shape of the peg.

However it being a 3-D problem, one can also visualize a single point at the centre of the square that represents the apex of the peg (below which the circular shape of the infinite depth hole alone would hold good indefinitely), and also four triangles of different sizes depending on the level below the top - the square base of the peg – which is being considered…

If one were to enter the mind of the ‘wise ancient Hindus’, the point representing the apex of the peg could be seen as the formless or Nadbindu. The square can be visualized as Brahma the four-faced. And the infinitely deep circular hole can be visualized as the expanded form of the Nirakar that is formless centre of the circle, or the ‘Anant’ the infinite or unending void…

The 2-D Yantra thus also appear to show tringles, D shapes (with modified intermediate bracket shape ‘}’), and square (with four mouths located at the middle of each side)…

And human beings could perhaps be seen to fill the trapezium-shaped region at the bottom of the pyramid-shaped peg at a particular level corresponding to ‘Time’ being highlighted…the physical size of which would gradually appear to reduce with time till only one can reach the apex, which is visualized by the wise to represent Satyuga!

The ‘Sri (or ‘Shri’) Chakra Yantra’, obviously represents, symbolically, ‘Trimurty’ that is the ‘Trinity’, that lays emphasis on ‘Sri’, that is, Parvati-son Ganesha, his mother’s body-guard or ‘kavach’ the security device, or a security measure that rendered immortality to Her Own Person, that is MOON and thus also provide immortality to other members of the Solar system, including EARTH that is Shiva the ‘Destroyer’ Himself, the aspect that is believably experienced by the ‘inferior physical forms, including the animal world!

‘A ‘born Hindu’ is perhaps aware of an image, (which ‘I’ am referring from my cousin’s Diwali Greeting card - the festival associated with Kali-puja - where Brahma’s consort Saraswati (playing the stringed instrument, called Veena, seated on a low four-legged back-rest-less chair, on a blue cushion and having her right leg placed on a low stool with a red cushion) is depicted on the right hand side of Vishnu’s consort Lakshami in the middle (in red sari, standing on a red many petalled lotus flower) while elephant-headed Sri or Parvati-son Ganesha is shown seated on Lakshami’s left…

‘I’ see the Yantra represented in the game of Cricket, and missing in the other games, such as Tennis etc, that restrict the ball to remain within a rectangle!
The three stumps symbolically represent the ‘triangle’, the ‘pitch’ or the playing area for the batsman, used to reflect ‘imperfection’, is rectangular (and not square). However, the batsman has no restriction on where and how to hit the ball with his bat. In fact, he is clapped when he makes the ball cross the oval shaped boundary (not circular) and preferably by the aerial route (representing air/ space travel when it lands deep inside/ outside of the stadium!)

‘We’ have earler also seen how classical music in ‘India’ was developed by sages, defined by the scale of three octaves, called ‘mandra’, ‘madhya’, and ‘taar’ saptaks , the seven notes from ‘sa’ (the basic note of lower frequency) to ‘ni’ (a note of relatively higher frequency) - that is, ‘do’ to ‘ti’ – the lower frequency notes are produced using the breath held in the lower-most compartment… In fact nowadays experiments in the ‘west’ are being conducted on ‘infra sound’ or still lower frequency that are not apparently being perceived by the conscious brain, although even in sleep man remains conscious of any sound made within the hearing range.

In these experiments, Infra-sound is found to be generated by lions that is heard by 'inferior animals' before the actual roar is heard. It is this sound that is now believed to generate fear in the inferior animals and apparent panic in them. (In Hindu mythological stories also Krishna’s conch-shell reportedly used to generate fear in the minds of his enemies).

Experiments on infra-sound generated within a lab/ certain houses have believably demonstrated how curtains start swinging when the sound is produced; and tremors are felt in the legs and even headache in some observers, and so on...

The phenomenon is now being associated with the feelings observed by certain individuals in the so-called ‘haunted houses’ due actually to some source of infra-sound in the vicinity of the concerned house…

Of course, soul being believed as a form of energy, which is capable of being transformed even into material forms, these could also perhaps be sources of infra-sounds also. For the formless Creator itself is described as Nadbindu, the point source of “Big Bang’!

Maybe, even a ‘born Hindu’, if one is a ‘seeker of Truth’ and has heard of 'evolution of Bhairavanath' or 'ugra Parvti' to Pashupatinath Shiva or 'Gurga on Tiger'/ Krishna and His various animal forms/ Vishnu and His reincarnations, doesn’t need a ‘modern day scientist’, viz. a character named Charles Darwin to tell him/ her about ‘evolution of (animal) species’…of course, the name plays an important role to wake up the Apsmara Purush!

A cat thus perhaps is known to everyone as the evolved, gentle and civilized form of the ‘wild’ lion – who also co-exists at the same time for reference and for comparison!

The high pitched ‘meow’ of the animal itself is an indication of inspiration to the sages. For, out of 22 notes that define the range of the three octaves, 7 number notes are below the chosen basic note of most of the renditions in vocal or instrumental style of Classical music in ‘India’ by an 'artist' while there are 14 above it, that is, they are of relatively much higher frequencies!

As children we used to question why most of the scenes in the Hindi cinema showed the hero/ heroine ending up the prayer in front of an idol in high pitch!

Here is a reaction to articles in ‘my newspaper’ that have appeared the same day, but on different pages…

Dear TOI,

Two articles today the 7th Feb attracted ‘my’ attention: Headed The Wrong Way - Attacks on Mumbai migrants don’t make political sense, by Dipankar Gupta a professor of Sociology JNU, and Terror haunts Kenya as tribes turn on each other – Gangs Fighting Pitched Battles on Streets, by Jon Swain (Sunday Times, London)…

Africa is realized by anthropologists as the ‘root’ of the Homo sapiens while Meru Town is located on the slopes of Mount Kenya and the human spinal chord is called ‘Meru Danda’ by ancient ‘Hindu Yogis’.

The problem in ‘Mumbai’ - as it was called in the ‘past’ and therefore Bombay renamed as such - perhaps thus could reflect the problem to have lain in the ‘past’ as seen as its reflection in the 'roots' also - when man also was ‘wild’ in the beginning…

Anonymous said...

Here is a loud thought received in ‘my head’ and, therefore, ‘I’ sent as a reaction to an article in ‘my’ newspaper earlier…

Don’t Shave! Satish K Sharma’s, Devil’s Advocate article was interesting.

Maybe, he forgot to recall the story related with Lord Shiva. Poor Lord reportedly had to shave and hide in a cave to avoid getting turned into ashes by Devil in the form of Bhasmasur – consequent upon receiving the boon from the Simple God, or Bholanath Shiva Himself!

Of course, it sounds a bit confusing, for Shiva reportedly before that (or maybe after) had the power to burn anybody with His Third Eye, as he did in the case of Kamdev! It, however, sounds like as if He had the power to burn Angels only. Thus He must have received the authority from lord Vishnu subsequent to this incident.

Anyway, fortunately for Him, He could communicate with Lord Vishnu from the cave - over some inbuilt ‘reliance mobile phone’ perhaps, the ancients called telepathy! And, Lord Vishnu in Mohini’s, that is, attractive form of an enchanting dancer was instantaneously there! Intelligently perhaps, Lord Shiva didn’t ring up the ‘fire brigade’ or the concerned ‘Police’! For He knew that Lord Vishnu reportedly came even when elephants caught by crocodiles called Him – indicating even no language barrier for Him! Just any real devotee would do!

Mohini/ Vishnu managed to get rid of the Devil, who generally, as a rule - like the villains of Bollywood films, say Gabbar Singh of ‘Sholay’ - appear to fall for anything in a skirt (called ‘lehenga’ those days also?), by engaging him in a dance that had a ‘mudra’, or pose, where the dance ends with the dancer’s palm resting on one’s own head!

The ‘present day roots’ of the dry grass (trinamool), called Homo sapiens, are known to lie in the ‘Dark Continent’ that apparently is disturbed, and continues to do so since ‘clean shaven’ Mahatma Gandhi’s Durban days…

Now that the Sri Chakra or cycle is available thanks to D Anil and Kavitha, reflecting the cycle that is related with the annual ‘Water Cycle’ originating in the coastal region close to renamed Mumbai, ‘I’ would like to draw attention towards ‘Mumbai’ – named after Mumba Devi, a form of Parvati Herself - the commercial city that came to be known as Bombay, as the seven islands once upon a time that were reclaimed during the British period as one piece of land...

Maybe a seeker could see in the phenomenon an insight into the functioning of Krishna, the sudershan-chakra-dhari – like an apsmara purush seeing the light at the end of a dark tunnel!

Jaya Bachchan saw two Thakres, but mistook the second one to be Uddhav, and not (Yogi)Raj (Krishna)! The original one of course is Bal(Krishna)!

JC said...

In the return leg of the journey, however, Bal has become the evolved ‘Raj’, while Raj has taken the place of ‘Bal’, the child or Neelkanth Krishna who is responsible for the apparent ‘poisonous environment’ in Mumbai today, that in reality reflects the ‘past’…

In the field of game, poison is seen, being encountered by Sania Mirza, the twentyone-yr-old tennis star, for example. Like the restriction of keeping the ball within a rectangle, she is also experiencing mental tension. She is so much fed up with ‘fellow Indians’ that she has decided not to play in ‘India’, whereas she doesn’t have any objection to playing in the ‘west’ - believably being ruled by Neelamber Krishna - for ‘India’, that is ruled by Peetamber Krishna, that governs the North as well as human heads, in the form of His plaything, the Moon!

JC said...

When any survey of some unknown location on earth in a particular region is contemplated, say for a specific land use - in the ‘present’ the literates are perhaps aware that - recourse is taken to a ‘detached view’ first. That is, ‘satellite images’ - photos taken from of artificial, man-made, satellites covering broadly that region - are studied to get a rough idea first…(it might however distract our attention by raging controversy on Rama-Setu!)

After this is done, and various locations that could perhaps meet the desired requirement are then studied in a little more detail by aerial photographs taken - on reltively a bigger scale - from aeroplanes. (Of course, the Survey of India has already made suuh surveys and maps prepared for different regions to different scales, which might save the trouble of duplication of the task, if already covered.)
Only then one would perhaps find oneself in a better position to make judgment about the probable ideal choice, although, ideally, still one would now need to do ‘ground surveys’ to still bigger scale and in-depth examination of various relevant aspects done to confirm that the choice in fact is really the best out of the limited alternatives thus selected…

Yet, there still is a possibility that when execution is finally thus undertaken, the choice might turn out not to have been the ideal because of ‘time’ and ‘resource’ restrictions for unlimited in-depth examination and/ or maybe due to certain factor(s) that might still be beyond human comprehension at the given point in time!

Notwithstanding the above-stated, the essence of the process is expressed in the statement, “Start from the whole to the part/ and not from part to the whole”.
Maybe, one would thus realize why the ‘wise ancients’ laid greater stress on achieving ‘Siddhi’ or all round knowledge to reach at the essence or ‘satva’ that is ‘Satya’ the ‘Truth’…

The ‘inferior animal world’ even can be seen to be full of ‘experts’ in different fields of activity. For example, although the entire physical ‘Nature’ is singing, dark complexioned ‘Kokila’ the Nightingale is accepted as the best ‘natural’ musician. Perhaps it was the nightingale that inspired man to find time to relax and keep his head cool (under all circumstances – as advised in the Gita, by Krishna the Black) and thus acted as Guru or Teacher of Man on behalf of the Mute Formless…

JC said...

Hi Kavitha, As you might be aware, 'my' basic idea was to enter the head of the Mute Formless through the heads of 'wise ancients', as these are apparently reflected in Temples and related 'Hindu' mythological stories. Thus another reaction to an article apeared in 'my newspaper' on similar lines...

SECOND OPINION article, Sania’s right: Time we got intolerant of intolerance, by Jug Suraiya refers (7/2).

For ‘Head Eaters’ or ‘Bheja Fry’ thankfully God has made simple models for communication of ‘Truth’ that are based on the same format.

For example, on every ‘burning or cool’ issue, the human society is seen to generally get divided into three classes or categories, that is: ‘For’, ‘Against’, and ‘Neutral’ (also reflected in a FAN that generally has three blades – for life is symbolic and Krishna believably is mischievous!).

The above aspect is easily understood by the example of a coin (‘Indian’ or ‘foreign’ currency), which has three sides, (although Head Eaters might eat the blank side, because of the dark side of their brain and thus distract the attention of the masses, by saying that every con has two sides!)…

Similarly Tolerance and Intolerance and the ‘Turning Point’ (just as Gandhi’s ejection from a SA train) between the two can be seen represented in a ball thrown into the sky (one of the pancha-bhootas)… Tolerance reflects the upward movement of the ball that depends on the force with which it is thrown up manually or hit by a wooden bat, maybe related with the games, cricket or baseball…However, sadly for some, ”Whatever goes up/ must come down”…

P.S. Although it is not necessary perhaps, in the earlier copy/paste, the reference was left out inadvertantly hence this modified email!

A ball thrown up, after hitting the ground is generally seen to jump up to a certain smaller height than the height from which it has come down, depending on various factors related with the materials that constitute the ground as well as the ball, and so on, to finally come to rest - after a number of successively reducing heights of jumps after each rebounce - when the entire energy finally gets consumed…
It is interesting to note that the ‘Hindus’, similarly, believed or realized the original height to represent the reach of human being during Satyuga. The successive reaches thereafter then believably reduces to three-fourth, in Tretayuga, in the next rebounce; one half in Dwaperyuga; one-fourth in Kaliyuga at the beginning, to eventually rest in the ground or become zero…And, then naturally getting energized to reach the original height, and the cycle to thus repeat 1080 times. Present believably being Kaliyuga the Dark age, perhaps therefore we find the human race presently headed to one more end the nth time, where n tends to 1080, as the snow-melt rate is observed rapidly increasing with time…as if ‘Nature’ is preparing for a change, while change is also evident in the political administration – say in Nepal the Himalayan country and Pakistan, countries that share boundaries with us, as well as the US, the country that’s eager to enter into nuke deal with ‘India’. It is perhaps an indication of Brahma that is Sun the source of energy - provided to all the members of the solar system, on account of nuclear reaction going on in its heart – to go to sleep at the end of Brahma’s day of over 4 billion years!

JC said...

It is further interesting to know from ‘Hindu Mythology’ that when Brahma feels sleepy, the knowledge that He had all along been keeping secret naturally gets vocalised and recorded by demon, in the form of a Horse, named Hayagriva who recorded it within his mouth!

And interestingly, through different probes, the ‘western scientists’ have in the recent past recorded the sounds emitted both by Sun as well as by Saturn (that is 'Shani' believed as the son of Sun by ‘ancient Hindus’, who also related ‘Chakravarti Samrat’ or Emperors with horse in the form of Ashvamedha Yagya(s), where a white horse in a ritual ceremony used to expand once boundary with the use of force!)…

Anonymous said...

We have earlier seen in detail how the sound emitted by our Sun resembles the stringed instrument, called harp, and how the Hindus related Brahma’s consort Saraswati with Veena. Of course this helps the seeker to realiaze Brahma & Saraswati (shown in white sari) refer to our Sun and white sunlight, that is, the energy that hides within it seven other colours as seen in the visible specrum, besides Infrared and ultraviolet rays and many other energy forms such as radio waves…
Similarly, one could relate use of bells and certain percussion instruements in Temples in India with Saturn…

JC said...

The ‘wise advanced Yogis’, that is, the reflections of perfect Shiva at different times, or ‘His reincarnations’, (generally thought of as ‘ancients’ due to ‘Maya’ that is optical illusion), believed the entire physical universe the creation of the Formless, or Nadbindu the unique point source of infinite energy, and therefore also called Omnipotent…

And man is believed to be the model of the universe, or God’s Own image, created by division of the unique energy into 8 parts within each form, in certain hierarchical order with potency at these points, called ‘Chakras’, quantum of energy and therefore correspondingly having higher or lower time to engage an individual in physical and mental actions - increasing from the base to the head, depending on what ‘Time’, in Yuga, versus related typical events are being highlighted at the given point in time –with planet earth in the backdrop of as the ideal model of the Formless, for reference…Mantras of course have potency, which is a negligible fraction of Formless’ own, and therefore Krishna advised ‘surrender in Him”!

Kaliyuga, 'The Dark Age' when poison rules, anyway is considered as the weakest Yuga that has only one good quality - it brings back Satyuga again!

JC said...

In the ‘present’, with the background knowledge of advancement in WMD (the weapons of mass destruction), man is understood as the biggest destructive agent in ‘Nature’, although perhaps the credit should go to the immortal ‘pancha-bhootas’, that is, ‘sky’, ‘earth’, ‘fire’, ‘air’, and ‘water’, or the ‘pancha-tatvas that is the ‘five elements’ rooted in the primordial sound ‘OM’ that believably, (as per the much more ‘advanced Hindus’), went into the making of all physical forms in the universe in the long lost ‘past’ by the Formless - Nadbindu...
And, now in the ‘present’, Bhootnath Shiva/ Vishnu in Yoganidra is apparently enjoying within its ‘mind’s eye’ the projection of the recorded film, eternally – from perfection achieved by Him as Mahesha the Bholanath Shiva, to the state of imperfection He originally had as the ugra or angry and fiery Bhairavnath Shiva to start with…
And, reflection of potent mantras is perhaps seen in politicians - Shiva-like uttering a few words - resulting in ‘Shiva-sainiks’ breaking glasses in the presence of the cmeramen, wherever these are used (in wind-shields of taxis, head-lights, shops, and so on - for sound effect!) and that might set up a chain reaction, as it is happening since time immemorial in the core of Hydrogen, the source of which is yet to be reached by the ‘present day scientists’, although Krishna boldly says that He illuminates the Sun & the Moon, but keeps these Heavenly Bodies at arm’s length from the life forms on earth the evolved Shiva!
The ‘five lettered mantra’, that is ‘Om Namah Shivaya’ is carried over throiugh time immemorial! And, also the briefest, ‘Shivoham’, that is I too am Shiva the Bhootnath! (Although only an imperfect physical model of the prototype that is earth the Gangadhara and Chandrashekhara!)…

My problem, if it can be called thus, is that 'I' was born in ‘India’ when it was under the Bristish Rule, and just when 'I' was going to complete 9 years it was ‘liberated’ from the long rule of the (white) ‘wild west’ (because we had believed that Kalki-avatara would come riding a white horse (would be white skinned!) for ‘self rule’ by the ‘Brownies’, the followers of the ‘middle path’, treaded by Gautam the Buddha, or believably by Nirguna Shiva, rendered immortal by His consort Parvati the provider of ‘Amrit’, literally ‘undying’ that is ‘somrus’ or ‘moonlight’, and therefore fearless!

[And symbolically, ‘9’ happens to have been adopted by present day Homo sapiens as the highest figure, or the ‘Arabic Numeral’, (although believably being born in ‘India’!), which brings to ‘my’ mind Saturn the 9th planet of the ‘Navagraha’, although humans believably are being governed by ‘Astachakra’, that is, eight planets – from Sun to Jupiter!]

And, it also reminds me of the animal that has 9 lives - ‘Cat’ - the most evolved form of ‘Lion’, the once upon a time ‘Ruler of the Green Forest’, which ‘Krishna the natkhat Nandlal’ in the Gita also claims as his own form out of all quadrpeds - that is adopted by humans as a pet in the Grey concrete jungle where entry of wild lion/ tiger/ leopard is prohibited, but if it surrenders in man, it can be housed in a zoo/ cage!

And, Shiva (Earth) is also called ‘Pashupatinath’, the Lord of the king of animals, that is, us humans, who take earth for granted, as 'non-living', for we are Apsmara Purush! Today we know that the same elements that are foiund in earth occur within human form too! Ancient Yogis of course knew too much - amd therefore not believed!

As children, for us it was a funny scene when the rakshashas attempted to wake up Kumbhakarna, Ravana's brother, to fight against Lord Rama!

I find the same situation being presented before us 'born Hindus'!

The Turning Point in Indian History was the retreat of the English the representative of Sun, for it believably didn’t set over the British Empire! But, English still rules! (In terms of sound energy it is reflected by "Beating of retreat ceremony" every year on the Raisina Hills since 1950)

And, ‘wise Hindus’ said that Rama personally helped only a few achieve ‘moksha’, whereas His name has helped many achieve it since then!

The ‘wise Hindus’ believably realized physical forms to be illusory and symbolic only. Reading it with the background knowledge that language is only a medium of communication through alphanumeric symbols and ‘Yogiraja’ Krishna is mischievous (‘Yoga’ meaning addition or union), as time is moving backwards, let us break up the word ‘MOKSHA’. It could perhaps be now rewritten as ‘MO’ (say a mirror image of OM, the beej mantra of the physical universe) + Aksha (meaning ‘eye’, as one of the many meanings)!
MAN (red backwards as NAM(E) is also believed to be the ‘image of God’! ‘Nam’ in Hindi = Name in English!

The ‘present’ political environment in ‘India’ could perhaps remind a ‘born Hindu’ of a ‘Diwali cracker’ that also speaks with a bang when its fuse is ignited even by a mere matchstick rubbing against a rough surface of the match-box – apparently having remained silent for long after having been manufactured, for example, in ‘Shivakasi’ (in Tamilnadu, in South India that believably is ruled by SUN), and traveled all over the country to say Mumbai/ New Delhi – both presently experiencing unusually low temperatures while avalanches are being experienced in J&K - the house of 'Anantnag', or Sheshanag - and the believable 'Heaven on earth'!

‘0’ or ‘Zero’ symbolically represents ‘Vishnu’ - the word literally meaning ‘Poisonous Atom’. Such that the Creator was, therefore, called Formless or ‘Nirakar’, or ‘Nadbindu’ the unique point source of infinite energy – represented by ‘OM’ in terms of sound energy, just like the believable sudden cracker-like explosion of ‘Big Bang’ - at the beginning of the creation of the physical universe – represented by ‘V’ for Venus as reflection of Neelamber Krishna the one who wears blue coloured garments, or Blue Throated Shiva!
Thus when ‘Apparent Time’ - created by the Solar system - and ‘related events’ believably are moving backwards, at some stages before abrupt silence is reached, one is likely to experience, as in a slow motion projection, loud noise made by large numbers of human models, which would die down at some point in time...

Perhaps, similarly one has learnt that, perhaps as a symbolic reflection thereof, there were about 140,000 blogs to start with, and out of which 100,000 have within a short time become inoperative! And, even the operative rest are believed likely to peter out soon as most of those apparently do not interest the majority!

‘OM’ is understood as the seed, or ‘beej mantra’ of the universe, uttered regularly by the Yogi to develop link with the centre of the universe/ earth, that is the source of infinite and unending energy!
And in ‘OM’, ‘O’ is pronounced with lips literally forming this shape and attempting to produce the unending sound to reflect the immortal or unending Creator, while exhaling with the lung filled to its maximum capacity to eventually finish with lips joining together, due to limitation of breath, and pronounce ‘M’ - thus resulting in a humming nasal sound towards the end…and thus one might find various possible alternative sounds of the ‘universal hum’, ‘OM’…

Maybe, Dr Anil Joshi could throw more, or better, light on ‘Tinnitus’, the ‘present day’ physicians say that an individual - caused by conditions of external, middle and inside ear - himself alone might hear tinkling, ringing, or other kind of sound. And that the noises may range from roaring and whistling to buzzing and drum-beat-like…
Also, in ‘recent times’ we have learnt that the sound emanating from planet Saturn virtually tallies with the reported condition, which is generally attributed sometimes merely due to impacted ear wax, or tooth and jaw problem, high blood pressure and so on…
In one of the Upnishads decades ago I had read, to the effect, that ‘ancient Yogis’ (as I too did to a certain extent in the city itself) had observed in places far away from the noise of the cities, that when they closed their right ear, they could hear the universal hum with their left ear. The pitch of the sound became higher as the soul matured…
The above also perhaps lends support to the ‘advanced Hindus’ realization that human being is an instrument or a model of the universe represented by the essences of nine planets or ‘navagraha’.
And as Krishna tells Arjuna that he is only a medium, they might also be right that it is Bhootnath Shiva who is reviewing His Past - His Own Stories related with achieving ‘perfection’ from an absolutely ‘imperfect stage’ - utilizing physical forms, including animal forms as evolved computers, again and again for some purpose which the wisest among the wise ancients also believably couldn’t find thus concluding that He was Unborn, and maybe therefore the drama continues eternally!

The ‘scientists’, however, presently estimate that the physical universe came into being just 13.7 billion years ago and that the solar system is about 4.6 billion years in age at present and is likely to continue indefinitely till Hydrogen in our sun lasts!

The ‘present day scientists’, based on study of river valleys etc. that normally attract animal forms for sustenance of life over long periods, also have however confirmed the ancient belief of cycles of rise to a peak of population, and then fall of human civilizations due to some catastrophe. Population graphs of, say, a city on the bank of a perennial river are generally updated from time to time and likely population within a reasonable range is extrapolated for planning of proposals for various purposes of development in future…It is also realized that there, of course, would be certain exigencies which can’t be taken into account, such as, sudden influx into it due to uprooting of a large number from another location within the country, due to whatever reason, natural or man-made, thus needing en masse rehabilitation at another city or cities, although regular influx would have been covered, but maybe not fully because of various factors – ‘resource crunch’ generally being the primary one in ‘India’ the land of Natkhat Nandlal, nearing Bhootnath that is Nadbindu in the ‘present’ (perhaps also reflected in the death of Fusion Master of east and west, Maharshi Mahayogi in Netherland the 'patal', and also in Maharashtra, of Baba Amte), although, once upon a time it was ‘Mahabharat’ the land of Bholanath Shiva, the simple and generous God and ‘India’ and ‘Indians’ could then afford to accommodate anybody and everybody saying, “Atithi devo bhava”! That is, ‘Visitor is God’, although it applies even today also, but for a short time only, for later “Familiarity breeds contempt”!

Here is another reaction to my newspaper article...

STOI~ Jugular Vein article by Jug Suraiya, My many Indias, interestingly presented almost the true essence of ‘India’, or ‘gagar mein sagar’ of the past, that is Krishna as Pashupati (as described by ‘wise’ ancient Hindus in Chapter X of Bhagavadgita) evolving from Bhootnath Shiva/ Vishnu the Formless Creator, or Nadbindu the point source of infinite sound energy who eventually evolved as Adbhutnath/ Pashupatinath Shiva – the Globe!

STOI~ As regards SHASHI ON SUNDAY, Let’s not be the big bullies of Cricket, the literal translation of an adage in Hindi is, “Money speaks from the head.”

The events are projections of the past when Bhairavanath Shiva was a child, that is, earth was a fire-ball! Bhairava evolved as Bholenath or Simple God believably in four stages of development, and also called Adbhutnath or marvelous God who reviews His Own History together with His Own Images to also see their own contribution also in His achievement of perfection - through thick and thin!

During our childhood, we used to see how our parents believed accidental breaking of glass as a good omen, particularly bottles of medicines! As per them, it indicated some evil soul’s departure that otherwise was perhaps the cause of the illness, and with its departure the patient was likely to recover soon!
As ‘I’ had indicated earlier in some other post ‘I’ got habituated to cigarette smoking over a certain long period, and ‘I’ wouldn’t stop the more my family objected to my smoking. ‘I’ used to tell that ‘I’ could leave it in a moment, but as ‘I’ had learnt that Yogis believed food as the biggest poison, and some of them did apparently manage to live only on natural water and air they breathed in! It was during such a period, with the background knowledge of models ‘I’ saw communication even in the burning cigarette! In a smaller scale, the cigarette to me appeared to represent not even me but every human being – ‘I’ saw its ten minutes of existence equal to man’s 100 years!
‘I’ had bought a big ash-tray made of thick glass to accommodate the ash and cigarette stubs. One afternoon, ‘I’ had cleaned the ash-tray and was preparing to smoke, my wife and children teamed up and said that although ‘I’ say ‘I’ can leave it any time, the truth was that it was only an excuse for not quitting it!
To their shock, ‘I’ picked up the ash-tray and tossed it into the air and it broke into two pieces! They thought ‘I’ would say something in anger, but ‘I’ coolly told them ‘’ had stopped smoking from that instant!
Later, after many years a thought surprised me that perhaps ash-tray represents imperfect and thus mortal Shiva, for it has ash of ‘dead tobacco leaves’ applied to its body! Therefore, perhaps it was ‘a better evolved Shiva’ within me that gave me an impulsive thought to break the glass, a good omen reflecting departure of some 'inferior' or 'evil soul' as my own image entrapped in the ash-tray!

Krishna is mischievous!

hi uncle Joshi, i would like to ask just one question. They say that a part of our fate is also decided by the Papas/punyas committed by us during our previous birth. If so, why should my body suffer for something that my atma committed while it was in another body. Isn't it unfair. Afterall, the Atman(our soul), changes bodies after each birth, similar to a person changing his clothing. Isn't it unfair of god to punish a person for something that he did during his previous birth, isn't it unfair, when a person lives like a king in previous birth and enjoys all pleasures, then is reborn as a beggar and his mortal body gets to suffer everything. Isn't this a bit unfair.
Could you give me a proper explanation. I do respect our ancestors, and their teaching, but i just can't digest this fact. Please answer my query.

Hi Aswin Kini, Please ask as many questions that could help…’I’ will try to answer to the best of my understanding of the phenomenon seen through the eyes of the ‘wise ancient Hindus’ – the believably relatively more evolved images, such as reflected by ‘Krishna’ in the Gita, seen through the eyes of some souls in the ‘past’…Any further clarifications are welcome!

Once you are able to accept the invisible, though immortal soul, within you as the VIP, just as - like its reflection - you consider your own (illusory for the ‘wise’) physical body as the VIP, which you apparently love the most and, therefore, take care of it every second. And, you try to fulfil all its natural demands.

Garments made from temporary, non-living, fibers may serve your body merely for a few years/ months/ days/ hours or so, depending upon many exigencies, and therefore you aren’t bothered about their ‘suffering’.

And, anyway, these only help your body to appear presentable to the other similarly placed ‘souls’/ ‘bodies’, for even today you might find certain tribes in Africa, and even in ‘India’ (due to various reasons maybe), managing their life in the natural clothing! And even certain ‘spiritual’ Lamas in cold Himalayan high altitudes demonstrate that they don’t need as much clothing as us, the city dwellers in New Delhi, say, in winters!

With the above in mind, perhaps you can now also visualize yourself akin to a ‘scare crow’, which according to you is a ‘non-living’ object or device that serves the purpose of fooling the relatively inferior animals that naturally have relatively much lower IQs, that is, say birds including crows that would otherwise not allow you to reap the harvest which would help satiate hunger of your physical body in ‘future’ – although if your luck is bad the seeds mightn’t even germinate due to any of the many possible natural reasons, such as failure of rain, say!

It can thus be said that you are responsible for the suffering inflicted by you upon the poor birds and insects etc. in the ‘present’ for selfish interest of your ‘future’ and thus depriving the ‘present needs’ of the poor and weaker animals than you who might die of hunger for which you are perhaps the cause, which is due mainly to ‘lack of overall knowledge’!
Ancient wise Hindus, and some born Hindus in the present too, therefore, can be seen to feed the poorer animals also, maybe ritually…On the ‘makar sankranti’ day, my parents used to feed crows in Delhi as they, and their parents, did it in our home town…besides sometimes cows etc…
Of course, what you, or your soul, apparently see in the 'present' is just the review of the 'past' by the Bhootnath, and therefore you are expected to feel no pain in the 'present', for it is only the illusory projection of the 'past'...However, in the drama, as you look up towards God, the Superior most Being, for your welfare, perhaps you also, lying somewhere much lower in the apparent hierarchy, are expected to look after poorer and inferior souls as a Guru…

From the available information, the hymn, or mantra, is related to the formation of the Shri Yantra, which contains various geometrical figures: dot, triangles etc, believably for attaining eternal bliss represented by Bindu or the formless creator...

On the Internet one would find the shloka referred at the site:

http://www.kashmirgroup.com/kpi/kpi_one.jsp?sino=582

Himalayas, or/ rather the energy centres that exist in that region as the 'images' of Sri Bindu, apparently are the sources of original thoughts received by ancient Yogis...For academic interest one would need to look books on ancient Kashmiri practices...

mistake in mantra should never be made, correct mantra is
"Bindu trikona vasukona dasharayugmamanvas`hra nagadalasamyutha shodashaaram,
vruththatrayam cha dharaniisadan trayam cha shrichakramethduditam paradevataayaa: "

pronunciation should be perfect.
