64 Yoginis dance with Bhairava

Please click on the photographs to enlarge them
64 Yoginis come into focus when references are made to the dark side of Tantricism. The cult of tantrics profusely flourished in the 8th century where it reached its peak. Today we have just 4 of these temples scattered across our indian landscape. Two of these are located in Orissa at Hirapur and Ranipur Jharial, one is in Madhya Pradesh in Bheraghat temple and one supposedly in Tamil Nadu.

64 Yoginis appear like they are in a wild trance with Lord Shiva. Here the rhythms are quite different, the music is stranger and the flavour is wild. Bhavabhuti once expressed in the Malathi Madhava, the very same beauty of these Kanyas in the rituals of tantricism associated with the Mother Goddess, though the tantric played a villainous role of attempting human sacrifice. This is not a celebration of the infamous ritual practice but a poetic peep into this world of Gods and Goddesses, a part of our better known Shiva and Kali.
The focus is on the cosmic truth, the only truth that lies in front of us that we run away from - Death. The form of the Lord here is Bhairava who brings us face to face with this truth. Truth is indigestible and this probably needs a different kind of understanding. Bhairava is charming and wild as a thought but coming face to face with Bhairava means playing with fire. Bhairava, popularly depicted as a naked mendicant, like Bhikshatana with a dog on his side and jatas in flames, a face with fangs and a fierce expression, one we would barely call charming. Bhairava teaches the art of Mrithyunjaya, or the conquest of death, which is our only redemption.

The chaunsat yogini temple of Hirapur is roofless and gives the impression of a womb. 64 goddesses circle its sacred enclosure within whose center stands a platform for ancient Tantric sacrifices or may once have hosted Lord Bhairava who is now missing. Here feminine beauty is not just depicted with care but is worshipped with as much ferver. The Goddess is depicted with her assets enhanced, her power and strength, her attributes completely sculpted to perfection emphasize the miracle of life and procreation. Ajaikapada Bhairava or the one legged Bhairava is depicted in one of the niches of this temple.

At the Chaunsat Yogini temple of Ranipur its a little different. These 64 yoginis are sensuous maidens who dance with the Lord in Odissi, a wilder and more terrifying form is depicted as compare to the familiar sweeter Krishna Leela. Here is passion of a different kind that celebrates procreation in a different form, far more raw and probably indigestible to our minds today.

Here too there is life, there is pleasure and warmth with the Lord and the Goddesses. It gives a feeling of awe, of something mysterious and sacred. Bhairava takes center stage at the Chaunsat Yogini temple in Ranipur. He stands within his mandapa, in a fierce fiery dance revealing the truth of procreation and death.

In the crackling flames that light up this deserted temple we witness 64 maidens almost naked dance the Odissi, like Kanyas, with complete grace around Bhairava. As the smoke rises and transforms this roofless temple into a magical theater, 64 dancing damsels create life with the Lord. With sentuality in the air, red bangles cling creating music so wild, so powerful and so potent, this is a different world of the living. This is a wild world of Shiva Leela, a little beyond our conditioned imagination! These powers came alive as human blood once flowed through in offering.

To the great Lord Mrithyunjaya, O Bhairava
Who holds the truth to us so clear
That we crumble before His burning eyes
As he lifts the curtain of illusion
The stark truth of death
O warrior fight and conquer it
The 64 mothers worship
Mrityunjaya Rudra Bhiarava Shiva.

Kavitha, with the background knowledge that ancient Hindus represented energies with human forms, powerful male and delicate female forms, (represented in ‘Nature’ by a vine spirally climbing up the central tree as its 'central nervous system'), what one could perhaps try to realize, in essence, is that in the drama of the believable illusory world - alongwith its inhabitants as different models reflecting some apparent time associated with their respective forms, from imperfect most to the perfect one that is earth - the ‘wise’ ancients, called YOGIS, (models formed of 64 permutations and combinations of major 8 forms of energy that have different frequencies and wave lengths and are, therefore, recognized by animal eyes as different colours that are associated with apparent physical forms, such as Sun as the apparent main source of energy; and planets as ‘inferior forms’, for they depend on the solar energy while interaction between energy absorbed for their own sustenance and their own gravitational force keeps them intact), were realized as characters at different times who apparently tried to fuse ‘science’ and ‘art’, (that is, the ‘physical or material’ and ‘energies or spiritual’; from zero, that is, a point source of energy, or Nadbindu, as the Creator; to infinite and ever expanding void of the universe, represented in physical form of illusory earth), to apparently reach the Formless Creator, expressed as the ‘Absolute truth’…various ’Truths’ expressed as ‘images’ or models of the Formless energy…in essence, GOD as the universal 'Master'...and DOG as the universal 'servant'!

Kavita,Liked the term"shiv Leela"!Also realised why absolute truth is called as the naked truth.

Hi Dr. Anilji, Kavithaji, as also indicated in Kavitha’s post, “Bhairava, popularly depicted as a naked mendicant, like Bhikshatana with a dog on his side and jatas in flames…” could help in visualization of ‘imperfect Shiva’ or Bhairava the fearful in the beginning - as believably seen through the ‘wise’ but mysterious ancient ‘Hindus’ - with the ‘present day’ finding of ‘scientists’ that Earth had been a ball of fire in the beginning, (could be imagined to appear like our Sun’s, that is, Brahma attached to the navel of Vishnu), appearance with the solar flares spreading in space over thousands of kilometers, like that of a mendicant with fiery hairs on his head, with a dog (the inferior image of Vishnu) on his side…

As it is well known, in India there are two styles of classical music apparently carried forth since time immemorial - Hindustani, and Karnatic (meaning ancient) styles, popular in North and South India respectively, to reflect the realization of creation of physical universe by Nadbindu utilizing sound energy or 'Brahmanad' the 'Big Bang'...

The ragas, that is, vocal or instrumental rendition in some defined notes in the ascending and descending orders, in the three octaves, laid down for each raga - maybe with certain notes prohibited as laid down by sages or Yogis - in either style are believed to have evolved from 'Heaven', that is, from the celestial or Heavenly Bodies - different ragas being associated with particular period of time during the day or night and accordingly in defined 'tal' or beat of some percussion instrument (to reflect Shiva’s Dumroo, the hour-glass shaped instrument)…

As we have earlier also seen elsewhere too, Saturn and Sun, even in the present have been observed by ‘scientists’ to emit certain sounds that are close to a mixture of bell, chirping of birds, and beats of drum in case of Saturn (thus bells are seen as a common feature in all Hindu temples, and drums in say Aiyyappa Temples); and a harp in case of Sun (thus Veena is seen associated with Saraswati as the consort of Brahma, as one of the aspects of Mahesha)…

Interestingly, in the Hindustani classical style of music, there is a morning raga that announces the beginning of the day, called Bhairva that believably evolved from Shiva as the first raga, perhaps representing the element ‘earth’. For the concept of pancha-tatva or panch-bhoota appears to get reflected in ragas too, for example the five ragas that are believed to have ‘evolved from the five mouths of Mahadeva’ are: Bhairava (earth), Hindol (meaning a ‘swing’ and, perhaps therefore, ‘sky’), Deepak (or lamp, representing ‘fire’), Shree (representing Ganesha, perhaps therefore ‘air’), Megha (meaning clouds, thus representing ‘water’)...

However, raga Malkauns is believed to have evolved from Parvati (perhaps representing the Supreme Being or the unique energy)… and 'Indu the moon', therefore, provided the highest pedestal by 'Hindus'...and its believably housed in hte head of all humans...

Anonymous said...

Let us see the root words used in the raga ‘Malkauns’ that is associated by the Yogis with moon…

It could be visualized as the combination of ‘Mal’, meaning Garland, and ‘kans’ meaning bronze, a lustrous brown alloy made from two metals, Copper & Tin...

The crescent of waxing moon immediately after the new-moon on the fore-head of Shiva/ earth also appears like a garland…And, interestingly young 'Neelamber Krishna' (associated with River Yamuna) killed his maternal uncle, who was named Kansa!

Historians also indicate that ‘aryans’ in ‘ancient India’ extensively used ‘Kansa’ that is bronze, which we as children also personally observed in our home-town in the hills, sufficient numbers of which were used to contain some spring-water carried home by some lady, or ladies, in the house early morning to last the day – day after day, which sometimes lead to hot words between some…and today it is believed that the ‘Third World War’ would be fought over sharing of (life-giving) water!

And, it was because the ancient Aryans had even their swords made from the said alloy, they were believably easily defeated by armies who came from the ‘west’ (because of 'churning') who had their swords (and later more evolved weapons) made from iron or steel (the metal that was associated with planet Saturn, the believable ruler of west)…

Raga Bhairavi, a name associated with female form, another morning raga is like the omnipresent Formless or Nirakar, for it is the only raga that can be sung at any time of the day as expressed in the saying, “Bhairavi kahi man-mani”, that is it can be sung whenever one wished to...

As per ritualistic practice, in any programme of presentation of classical music in late evenings when generally such presentations are organised, Bhairavi is played or sung as the last item...

Certain popular artists, who are much in demand by the audience, therefore, receive request after request from someone or the other after they have rendered some item. And, if they must leave to attend to some other important schedule, they present some item in raga Bhairavi!

And, ‘Krishna’, in the Gita, says that He (alluding to his superior most form, the Trimurty) is the beginning as well as the end!

In the beginning of Kali-yuga the ‘dark age’, poison believably ruled, through planet Venus, evolved or immortal form represented in hman form through Kartikeya the elder son of Shiva-Parvati (representing evolved Earth-Moon) in Sat-yuga; or still to evolve completely, that is, ‘imperfect’ Ravana of Treta-yuga, and Neelamber Krishna of Dwaper-yuga in human forms...

Krishna, however, reflects a character who was ‘bhagyawan’ (the word from which ‘Bhagwan’, that is God, evolved) or ‘lucky’, or the ‘chosen one’ (as the representative of Vishnu the Nadbindu the original source of sound – which might also indicate how in Christianity, belief in Jesus was also indicated) who was therefore expressed as Yogiraja the king of Yogis, that is, who was a ‘genius’, (who are ‘naturally born’ and ‘not made’ at any time as the ‘Truth’, say, related with Bhairavi), during that era…represented by ‘Black Hole’ at the centre of our Milky Way Galaxy, the ‘grand churner’ that produced our Solar system as the essence of the infinite physical universe – with Sun as the essence of 12 musical notes (seven basic and other soft and sharp notes/ colours and colourless – like ‘water’ or ‘air’) represented in essence by each member of the system and Nirakar Himself…This apparently formed the basis of Astrology and Palmistry etc by Yogis or Sages…

Kavitha, Anilji, here is another reaction to a newspapr article.

Ref Where paradoxes reign supreme (STOI)

Shri (the word, also starting with ‘S’, representing in a Hindu name the name of Lord Ganesha the favourite son of Parvati another name from letter ‘P’) Shashi Tharoor earlier missed not only ‘S’ for Saraswati the Goddess of Knowledge, the apparently long lost one, or rather still unborn in Kali-yuga (and appeared only in Sat-yuga), that is, the ‘present dark age’, CE, that is, a ‘confusing era’, but he missed also ‘Sychophancy’…even in worship of each and every member of Shiva-Parvati family in ‘India’ that was once upon a time Mahabharat:-)

Anyway, he has this Sunday also missed ‘P’ for ‘PERFECTION’ expressed in the unsaid ‘P’ for ‘Paradoxes’, but apparently he hasn’t heard of ‘B’ for ‘Bhootnath Shiva’ the Lord of the Past (due to present day ‘B for Big B’ overshadowing HIM in the CE), represented by ‘Trimurty Shiva’ that is Brahma-Vishnu Mahesh, or Sun-Moon-Earth – of Satyam Shivam Sunderam fame’…

However, illusory or transient character ‘Big B-like’ the ‘ancient’ that is ‘advanced’ Hindus believed in the entire physical universe to be illusory or ‘mithya’ – apparently man-made-museum-like that is getting reflected on the silver-screen-like ‘Third Eye’ of Shiva, part of which ‘We The People’, the ‘images of God’, also see in our dreams or in the make-believe world of Cinema’ as its reflection…as the ‘Absolute Truth’.

Child ‘Krishna’, the ‘lucky’ or the ‘chosen one’ to represent Fromless Creator, Nadbindu, believably was mischievous or ‘natkhat’ too:-)

And, Krishna is depicted as the ‘Divine Flute Player’ who apparently mesmerized with his tunes all the inhabitants of Brindaban and Mathura the land of the cowboys, and milk-maids…who Mira-Bai-like forgot she was a Queen! And, decided to leave Buddha-like the family - to become a legend! We find some models in famous flute players even today, viz Hari Prasad Chaurasia, who continues to mesmerize ‘Indians’ and also ‘foreigners’ with his ‘live performances’ all over the world – including his role as Music Director for certain background- music in films, such as, ‘Silsila’ the Big B-JayaB starrer, jointly with Santoor player, Shiv Kumar Sharma, who became popular as Hari-Shiva! I hope you see the Krishna-Arjuna connection!

The Ghats of Shiva’s Kashi are famous for the congregation of the learned sages through ages, particularly during the Kumbha period (every 12 years – Krishna’s, that is, planet Jupiter’s cycle), for ‘brain storming’ on one and the only agenda: The ‘TRUTH’ that continues to trouble the minds of ‘Hindus’ through time immemorial…

The holy soil of ‘present day’ Varanasi that was blessed by Mother Ganga’s sacred waters - after it had descended from the Himlayan forests, that is, ‘the locks on the head of Shiva’ - also has nurtured at some stage, in their career maybe, musicians - Vocalists as well as instrumentalists, besides weavers of the world famous ‘Benarasi-silk saris’.

[And, we also got an opportunity to receive ‘tasty papads’, the thin wafers made from potatoes in Varanasi a few times when my wife’s niece came to reside there with her family for a short duration of 2-3 years. Someone jokingly atributed the good Benarasi-papad taste to smoke blowing in from the funeral pyres, for they believably are made at locations close to the burning ghats]!

The musical instruments, include the simplest and perhaps the most economic woodwind one, that is, the flute, which even a poor villager could easily buy, and various other relatively costlier wind or stringed instruments, such as Shehnai/ Sitar & Santoor, both literally meaning ‘containing one hundred strings’ as evolved forms of the ‘Ektara’ the single-stringed one of the sages, and so on…

Shehnai is generally played on all auspicious occasions related with Hindu festivals in North India...

Indian classical music is incomplete without a variety of percussion instruments used with both vocal and instrumental music - from evolved forms of dumroo, that is dhol/ pakhawaj/ mridangam/ tabla etc (for giving necessary beat according to the particular composition, to control the tempo)...

Some of the artistes in the field of Classical music have arisen from time to time to great heights in popularity in different fields in the post-Independence India…although simultaneously there has been a ‘spectacular’ rise in the popular or ‘pop’ music, as it is seen with the eyes of of the 'present day youth' with ‘modern thoughts’; and ‘fall’ if it is seen with ‘ancient Hindu thoughts’ - apparently because of the ‘west’, (mischievous Krishna for the realized soul though) and therefore resulting in displeasure expressed by some who are perhaps 'intolerant' due to time rflecting the early stge of 'churning'!

Anonymous said...

Let me add here that the realized souls considered Flute, Ektara, and Dumroo as the different essences of the variety of other corresponding musical insruments, which the poorest even can have access to, for 'Krishna', in the Gita, says he can be reached by anyone…

Dr.Anil Joshi said...

Joshi Uncle,The real purpose of the "Kumbh Melas" must have been the brain storming as you have rightly mentioned.Nowadays almost all the mass religious congregations seem to lack this very component.Incidently have you studied Indian Clssical Music?

Anonymous said...

Yes Dr Anilji, Indian History also indicates how foreign travelers at different times in ancient ‘India’ found even common man discuss subjects such as ‘purpose of human life’, who am I? And, so on…

And, apparently the ancient ‘Hindus’ were highly advanced in Astronomy etc, that is ‘siddhas’, and had perhaps found physical life to be result of a design, and not an accident or a coincidence. For the ‘common man’, the basic principle of evolution is indicated in the four stages of ‘churning’, which the ‘intelligent’ people in the ‘present’ believe (or are in fact given the role as such) to be meant merely for their pastime or entertainment, and not as part of a grand design related with apparent time…maybe the occurrence of Kumbh Mela every 12 years could lead one to correlate it with planet Jupiter’s cycle of revolution around the Sun, when the present day astronomers indicated different time taken by different planets around the Sun because of the distance of their respective orbits increasing as one moved away from it. For example, Mercury takes just 88 days for one round, that is, roughly one-fourth of time taken by our planet earth, maybe correlating it with the ‘Hindu belief’ of Brahma to have 4 faces!

Anilji, I am a ‘kansen’ and not Tansen, the student of a sage, Swami Haridas, and one of the ‘9 gems’ (related with ‘navagraha’?) in the court of Akbar the Great, who reportedly sang Raga Deepak to light naturally a large numer of ‘divas’ or lamps to cure Akbar’s daughter (?), followed by Raga Malhar to make rain to cool his own heated up body in the process!

The ancient sages could believably cure patients through only ‘mantras’ or sound energy!

Call it a coincidence that in our family all members were interested in Hindustani Clasical music. I have attended as audience a large number of programmes, in the early days, of top notchers, such as Pandit Ravi Shankar/ Ustad Vilayat Khan, and many other (sitarists), Ustads Allaudin Khan & his son Ali Akbar Khan, Ustad Amjad Ali, and many other (sarodists), Pandit Onkar Nath Thakur/ Bhim Sen Joshi and many other (vocalists), Ustad Bismillah khan (Shehnai player), Pandit Hari Prasad Chaurasia (flautist), Pandit Shiv Kumar Sharma (heard him play Santoor the first time when he represented J& K Univesity in one of the Youth Festivals in Delhi), and so on...

Whatever a man learns, it is because - primarily apparently of his 'leanings' - of the various Gurus one comes across during one's life time...and the closest Guru is the Formless within one's own body!

I forgot to add that my elder sister had Classical music as one of the subjects in school and I used to hear her sing and prepare for her exams, and only my elder brother took regular training for some years in Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, as our late uncle’s violin had come into the possession of my father who used to play it for accomapaniment of vocalists in local functions/ Ramleela, but without any formal training…I also used to fiddle it at home during spare time sometimes...

Dr Anilji, Human brain apparently acts very funnily - believably as reflection of Krishna’s mischievousness - so that I couldn’t recall the name of the musical instrument of south India that is equivalent to Shehnai in the north although it was on the tip of my tongue. So I decided not to mention it in my comment.

However, it went on nagging me the rest of the day, but only ‘gotuvadyam’ popped up time and again although I was aware that it had ‘nad’ in it!

It was only when I was talking to my daughter on phone in the late evening and I thought of asking her the name, and before I could do that ‘Nadswaram’ popped up on its own to my head! I felt so relaxed then!

Thinking of ‘Bhairava’ the child Shiva, also as the early morning raga, this morning, I was woken up first by Gotuvadyam recital on the Radio FM as part of the routine one half-hour each programme of broadcast by AIR of Classical music of north and south, which is then followed by one hour of varions devotional songs, or ‘bhajans’ from 4 to 5 AM.

I heard some bhajans while remaining in the bed, till at around 4:43 AM Bhairava Himself shook me out of the bed – I experienced the earthquake, the so-called ‘Tandav-nritya’ of Shiva, which is felt to varying degrees of intensities over its range of influence, the maximum damaging effect being felt in the region close to its epicenter…

Let’s hope it didn’t cause any serious damage somewhere in the Himlayan region, ‘the head of India’, where human heads are apparently disturbed these days, and which is the region of 'India' that is more prone to earthquakes – for Shiva-Parvati reside over there!

Kavitha, reverting to the Chaunsath Yoginis, say of Hirapur, as you have indicated in the post, “The chaunsat yogini temple of Hirapur is roofless and gives the impression of a womb. 64 goddesses circle its sacred enclosure within whose center stands a platform for ancient Tantric sacrifices or may once have hosted Lord Bhairava who is now missing…”

Hypothetically speaking, if ‘I’ were to imagine ‘myself’ lying - like the believable unborn inside a womb - on the said platform for a fortnight, say every night, from new-moon night to full-moon night with my physical eyes closed and breathing deep regularly. And, as there is no roof - on top of the circular shaped vertical walls that perhaps helped cut out any possible interfering rays from close quarters outside of the wall - ‘I’ can imagine life giving moonrays, its dose gradually increasing in intensity over a fortnight because of waxing of moon, from infinite area of the sky getting concentrated on my ‘Ajna Chakra’. And, perhaps thus activate it in due course and thus help the small energies or Yoginis distributed within my form to rise to the head, i.e., the process believably involved in the Yogic exercises – maybe without the need to sacrifice any animal, or human being!

In so far as my personal experience is concerned, it was because of my wife’s chronic illness that ‘I’ happened to come across a ‘tantric’ through a common acquaintance at Guwahati who said he was initiated to the practice related with tantricism, [of controlling a soul by performing certain rituals in the crematorium in some remote village, as part of ‘pret sadhna’, over a fortnight or so, after capturing in the dead of the night the corpse of a poor young woman who was left there by the relatives who couldn’t afford money to properly perform the last rites], when he was young, for he believed his body had carried forward his grandfather’s soul, as he was born in the same house in one room at or near the same time when in another room his grandfather died, who according to him was a renowned ‘tantric’ of his days…

He told me that the controlled soul speaks to him in his ear. And, to be able to understand what it says about some other person, say, one has to get training to be able to understand whatever it says rapidly, which otherwise is too fast for our normal ears…

It all sounded scary to me and therefore 'I' told him that 'I' was prepared only to the extent of trying gemstones. He suggested two of those - which however didn't prove useful...

'I' can't say how some musical notes while 'I' listen to some instrumental music on TV sometimes cause some different and strange sensation in my ears, like enhancement of some particular note, as we used to observe in the school days in the Physics lab when a tuning fork used to vibrate synchronously when another tuning fork of the same freqeuncy was sounded near it...

Now, as per the ancient Yogis my exterir form is made up from combinations of the essences of the solar system members reflected by colours of the visible spectrum and also energies that all have drfferent frequencies, and wave lengths corresponding to the common product of the two as the velocity of light or electron. ‘I’ could thus perhaps visualize myself similar in function to a musical instrument, looking at my capacity to perform vocally through speech or song!

The ancients realized human form as Krishna’s flute in its appearance considering centres of energy as the six apparent holes from ‘Mooladhar Chakra’ at the base to ‘Vishuddhi Chakra’ in the throat, and breathing apparatus, that is, the nose, or nostrils, could be visualized as effectively being located at the ‘Ajna Chakra’, the meeting point of the nose and fore-head which activates the larynx and the pharynx to produce various musicl notes…

And also the human body’s x-ray from the rear side was also seen to appear similar to Saraswati Veena, the centrl nervous system representing the strings!

In the battle field of Kurukshetra, Krishna tells Arjun that he is merely an instrument, which perhaps could be imagined as the most evolved plain and simple flute of the Formless, representing as essence the variety of musical instruments that are being used for the background music by the Music Director in the ‘present’ – to reflect the ‘Brahmanad’ or the ‘Big Bang’ that was used by Him for creation of the physical forms in the universe!

In our schooldays we had a teacher who was nicknmed 'Tabalchi' the Tabla player. For those days corporal punishment wasn't prohibited. And he would beat alternately on the back near the shoulder region and the back of the head - for the boy naturally put both his hands at the location where he was being slapped to avod teh impace, thus leaving the other location free!

Our Principal could however be seen as a drum player as he used a cane when a thick skinned one was subjected to public caning first thing in the mornng when all students gathered for the prayer!

Anonymous said...

There were certain teachers in my schooldays who didn’t beat the students with slaps, or sticks, or rods (there was one teacher who had joined the school after partition of the country as per Government orders to absorb teachers who came in from Punjab – he had a wooden rod covered with leather for ‘playing drums’!), but they preferred twisting the ears like one twists the knob of one’s radio to change the frequency in order to receive the music one preferred from some one of the various stations!

It would, therefore, be interesting to know that as per acupuncturists, who realized man as an electro-chemical instrument, certain windows related with solar energy are indicated to be located in the region of the ear, along its periphery and in the adjoining region of the face, from Tw 17 to 23, starting from the ring finger.

And, therefore certain practioners of the ancient art prefer ‘acu-pressure’ that is application of pressure with thumb or middle finger or palm at the acupuncture points depending on the body part - for energizing the concerned vital organ(s)! Acupressure can perhaps also be seen in hte ancient practice of massage by expert masseurs...and hair dressers tping on the head...

The basic communication in the ‘Hindu Thoughts’ is that in the ‘present’ there exists one and only one unborn and unending original Formless Creator, as He existed originally, and who created the wonderful temporary or transient physical universe utilizing innumerable ‘imperfect images’ to eventually reach ‘His Own true image’ in physical form as Earth (starting from a fire ball that is molten magma), and also its model in human form called Shiva (starting from ‘Bhairava the naked mendicant’, as all humans naturally appear when they are born!)

He is, therefore, called Bhootnath, the ‘Lord of the Past’, as the Supreme Being or the Supreme point source of Energy & Knowledge, who continues to see His own imperfect as well as perfect creations eternally…And, as Krishna apparently tells Arjuna, Bhootnath knows ins and outs of every character in the drama, in any form, and not Arjuna alone…He ever being in a state of Super Consciousness…

It is for this reason that when one visits any ‘Devi Temple’, generally located in the high altitude regions of the Himalayas, or other hills elsewhere as ‘shakti-peetha’ or ‘energy centres’, which symbolically represent the most evolved form of God, the Formless Creator, one is advised to visit some ‘Bhairava Temple’ also thereafter with a view to remain ever conscious of the ‘Centre of our illusory Earth’, the Nadbindu as the actual super strong foundation of the magnificent-edifice-like earth.

The relationship could be visualized similar to that of a kite attached with the kite-flier; or dog attached to his master with the leash; or commuters inside bogies that are attached to the common railway engine – the more powerful the engine the more is its capacity to carry larger number of commuters; or planets, planetoids, meteors etc attached to the Sun in a solar system; or innumerable Heavenly Bodies in a galaxy attached to its centre; and so on…Or eventually the super-computer-like mechanism called brain that is attached to the other 7 chakras at relatively ‘inferior levels’ within each human body through nerves to hold, like commuters in bogies, combined super knowledge about the infinite universe…

All ‘man-made’ electronic devices, which the ‘present day’ man enjoys for some time, reflect the three aspects, as it is also seen in ‘Nature’: positive or beneficial; negative or harmful; zero or neutral. But these devices apparently don’t reach the stage where one could feel satisfied at some stage to have eventually reached ‘perfection’. There is a constant need felt to evolve - only by the human race among all other believable ‘inferior animal life forms’, who ‘foolishly’ appear contended with the natural evolutionary processes thanks to which each species exhibits specialization in some field.

Man however appears to be competing with ‘Nature’, and in the process appears to get frustrated during one useful life of a little above 4 decades - compared to over 4 billion years, believably during just one day in the life of our immortal solar system - on this earth from where there apparently is no escape in physical form, although a few might escape into space and stay for some negligible time out of earth’s gravitational pull, and thus indicating similarity of human life on earth to reflect ‘life- imprisonment’ in man-made prisons, although a few might escape for some time, or 'Bahubalis' even to rule for some time from a man-made prison (as ‘Krishna’ apparently did – escaped not only from Mathura’s prison, but after Krishnaleela for some time to reappear again to evolve further as Rama’s younger brother Bharat, in Treta-yuga, and once again in Sat-yuga as Nadbindu/ Formless Shiva – back to square one, to rejoin the Formless Creator and watch the drama of Creation - united with Yogeshwar - in His Yoganidra-like super conscious state)!

As all ‘wise’ persons who have read the Gita know, Krishna disclosed the ‘truth’ to Arjuna when the end of Dwaper-yuga was near, and that it was time for eventual mass destruction (through human agency), reflection of which the world saw during two ‘World Wars’ in the 20th Century with a lage area of ‘west’ (where our Sun sets daily, and coincided with it the retirement of the British from ‘India’) as the stage of the drama or Kurukshetra-like battle field of Mahabharat.

It could perhaps be realized similar to a detective story where expert detectives, fictional charactes, viz. Sherlock Holmes the expert ‘scientist’, or Miss Marple the simple villager, and many others, disclosed who the real culprit was, to the satisfaction of the generality of readers/ viewers - perhaps not so some others who believ they are 'wiser'!

As per Hindu mythology, Vishnu appeared in the form of a fish as the first reincarnation (of the Formless).

Although today almost every ‘non vegeetarian’ eats fish, traditionally fish is associated directly with a person from West Bengal in ‘India’. A Bengali friend once told me that every Bengali has two main characteristic properties: He would like to eat fish for all the 7 days in a week, although - maybe in order to suit the budget - he might have to go for the costliest one that he can afford only in the first week, and then be satisfied with the poorer quality ones, in a gradually decreasing scale, for the next three/ four weeks in the particular month.

The day a Bengali doesn’t have fish to eat, 'he feels like a fish out of water'!

Secondly, he must save enough money for going in a group of family and friends during summer vactions to some hill station.

In view of the above-said, and also their craze for celebration of Durga Puja at their native place only wherever they might otherwise find themselves, and if possible during Kali Puja also, in the spiritual field links them with ‘Red’ colour (the tongue of Ma Kali), as the symbolic representation of the ‘destructive force’ everyone worships, and Yellow colour (during Saraswati Puja in the Spring season) as the representation of highest form of energy and also (Supreme) Knowledge, thus related with both brains as well as brawns. Bengal has produced many famous body builders and writers, poets and spiritual figures.

Young girls and married women also applied red coloured paint, called ‘alta’ all along the outer periphery of their feet on certain occasions.

Also they traditionally cook their meals in mustard oil that is yellowish in appearance, which they apply also to their bodies before bath. Thus a thin, red coloured, oily cotton towel also got associated with them, for they used it for sponging off the oil before their bath.

I learnt from a reliable person in Assam, where Tantricism believably was originally practiced, that the ‘tantrics’ confine the controlled (inferior) soul inside a football bladder, which is then kept inside a tin can with lid, while surrounding the available space between the bladder and the can, and also over it, with mustard seeds…It brought to my mind that as children, we used to see that if any other sibling, or I, came home exhibiting some sort of disturbed mind or so, our mother used to take some mustard seeds in her hand, and after revolving her hand over the head a few times she would (to our amusement because of disbelief) throw the seeds in to water – it was believed to ward off ‘evil eyes’!

Kavitha, It is for the information, particularly of Dr. Mani Iyer who has given important information in the space for messages, that if one were to look at the layout of the main Rivers: Yamuna, Ganga and Brahmapautra in the World Atlas, including the various other tributaries of these rivers individually also, one could then visualize the roots of these rivers or ‘nadis’ (named as their models in human body as Sushumna, Ida and Pingla) to lie in the Bay of Bengal, the zero datum. And the network of the nerve-like rivers, in which River, or ‘Nadi’, Ganga could be visualized to represent the Central Nervous System, and the two others as sympathetic nervous systems.

These three nadis appear rising up to the head of the Divine Person or the Trimurty Shiva represented by the sky scraping peak of Mount Kailash in the Himalayas.

The life-giving water in the network of nadis within ‘India that was Mahabharat’ could be visualized as the life-sustaining blood flowing within the Divine Person - the circulation maintained by the water-cycle thanks to the joint efforts of the omnipresent ‘pancha-bhootas'...

To enjoy the dance of Bhairava with the Chaunsath (64) Yoginis better, one needs to see the presentation with the ‘mind’s’ or the ‘Third eye’, that is, the ‘Ajna Chakra’ that represents the apparently taken for granted earth - in reality Bhootnath Shiva in Yoganidra - by all and sundry today - although as per hint from the ‘wise Hindus’ each one of us has it, but in a dormant state!

Perhaps pigeons and Dolphins in this regard are better than humans, who doubt the ‘long accepted truth’ that each human being, in the long lost past, has passed through 8.4 million animal forms (Yonis, or wombs, even of the said birds) lost in the ashes or dust before one could attain the human form for the first time!

And, God alone knows how many ups and downs the soul has seen after that, because TIME and the related cycle of physical forms believably are unending (in the hands of Mahakal Shiva), and it has believably been going on since time immemorial.

Even Vishnu (Centre of illusory Earth, represented by Kali/ Krishna) and Brahma (our Sun and its various forms or images that fill the infinite void of the ever expanding universal void, or the 'milky ocean'), the two of the three aspect of the Trimurty Shiva Himself, believably couldn’t reach the root and the end, respectively :-)

‘Krishna’, therefore, says (in the Gita), “Surrender in ME (alluding to the Centre of Earth as one of the aspects of His Supreme form, represented in Heavenly Bodies by their Gravitational Force, and in the human form by the ‘little finger on which He lifted the Mount Goverdhan’ – as we have already tried to see it elsewhere while discussing Palmistry)!”

We know that the physical apparatuses for overall appreciation of the physical world provided in human forms, as a rule, are deficient to varying degrees, say from zero to some advanced level, which in ‘Nature’ tends to infinity.
However, it is an accepted truth that one ‘naturally’ has the inherent capacity to see with ‘mind’s eye’, that is, after observation of the outside world one has the capacity to analyse and come to some universal conclusions, which in a rational manner are then left for the generality of human race to accept, after due ‘brain storming’ by persons accepted as ‘wiser’ and nominated for the purpose to reach the ‘truth’...
The ‘natural’ physical capacities, in this apparently rational manner and already accepted, are thus found to be relatively much more enhanced in certain ‘inferior life forms’ while an average man apparently can’t without external aid or tools. For example, even in the ‘present’, like they have been doing since time imemorial, Bat can see in dark, and Eagle can see clearly its ‘food’ from great heights in the sky; Elephants/ Whales can communicate, with the life of their own kind located over long distances; Bear (aided by the direction of breeze) can smell its ‘food’ from a long distance; Serpent uses its enhanced capacity of touch to ‘see’, or realize the presence of ‘food’, or its enemy; and so on…taste, however perhaps, is the most evolved in human form only, perhaps because it is related with the tongue, understood as ‘Ma Kali’ the centre of earth/ universe represented by the void of human mouth – teeth representing the 32 Yoginis, as one-half part of the physical earth as ‘Bhairava’ or ‘child Shiva’ the Destroyer (whose consort is Kali/ Sati) grinds ‘food’, like a stone grinder turns ‘golden’ wheat/ ‘silver’ rice into flour!
Adbhut!

And, a human child is, therefore, observed as a rule to take every object to its mouth for activating its mind’s eye, or ‘Ajna Chakra’, to gain knowledge of the ‘outside material world’, for its ‘advanced natural capacity’ at the time of birth then gradually deteriorates with Time as it grows up into an ‘Apsmara Purush’ or a forgetful man who can’t ‘recall memory’, because of transfer of the entire data related with voluntary actions - originally in the brain, or ‘Sahasrara Chakra’ - to the ‘chakras’ below, ‘Vishuddhi Chakra’ to ‘Mooladhar chakra’, that now needs to be lifted up to the brain, a function reflected by a hydraulic pump…whereas Arjuna, in dwaper-yuga itself could make Ganga water available to Bhism Pitamah in the battle field of Kurukshetra… a ritualistic practice still followed by some Hindus to provide water collected from Mother Ganga (associated with Moon) to a man on death-bed…

The Hindu mythological stories indicate ‘celestial serpent Vasuki to have been used as the rope for churning of the Kshir-sagar’, that is, ‘Milky Ocean’ by both Devtas and Rakshasas, as alredy seen, representing in essence eight selected members of our solar system, from Sun to Jupiter that revolve around Sun…and interestingly our galaxy is called ‘Milky Way Galaxy’…
Bhism Pitamah himself is depicted in the Hindu mythological stories as ‘the youngest son of Ganga-Shantanu’ who - as the stories indicate, similarly, about ‘Krishna’ the son of Devaki-Vasudeva - lost seven siblings born before him, drowned by the mother in Ganga immediately ater their birth!
The stories also indicates Bhism’s birth in human form a result of curse of Guru of the devtas, Brihaspati or Jupiter, in human form of Suryavanshi kings’ Guru Vashistha, in treata-yuga, who had in his possession the celestial cow Kamdhenu that had evolved as one of the many end-products of the churning…
Eight numbes ‘Vasus’ believably once visited Vashishta’s ashram or hermitage, along with their wives. The youngest of the Vasus, Prabhasa, because of his wife’s influence, stole the cow with the assistance of his seven other siblings, and consequently had to take birth in human form as punishment. As the older siblings had just helped Prabhasa, they were immediately after their birth allowed liberation or ‘moksha’ by drowning in Ganga. Whereas, Prabhasa, as Devabrata had to undergo one life-term imprisonment in human form!
I believe the above would help see how ‘Truth ever prevails’…

Joshi Uncle

Its a very interesting story indeed. A whole new perspective to mythology that i didnt know and definitely didnt connect.

I like the way you phrased it "One life time imprisonment" Really nice.

While the death of the children might have appeared to be a waste in human eyes, the fact that they attained moksha through the Ganges just passed everybody. Its surely an eye opener.

Yes Kavitha that's what happens because we generally tend to start from the 'fruit' in which we are interested and not considering the 'overall tree', mainly its 'roots', for they remain unseen and therefore out of mind...like the Formless Creator...and on top of it the mischievous 'west' diverts our attention - as part of its role!

We have earlier also seen how Hindu Mythology indicates that all physical forms are, in reality, symbolic representation of innumerable forms of energy, as per a Grand Design by a Supreme Formless Being, for its own pupose apparently not known to humans, perhaps as part of the design to reflect behaviours related to the conce4rned yuga that is being highlighted at a particular point in time, i.e., although man is a model of the Creator Himself he is to behave like a forgetful man – a very commonly observed human charcteristic - with the sole pupose of allowing reflection of apparent hierarchy in ever changing ‘Nature’ in all its aspects!

In this presentation of the drama, the physical form of our composite planet earth apparently is the symbolic representation of the immortal Formless Creator that originally had zero physical form, but apparently was a source of infinite energy to begin with (a characteristic reflected in the form of the Black Hole) as Bhairavanath. And, animal forms, with man heading the animal world although reflects the superior most representation of the Formless Creator, but each individual gets restricted to utilize the energy within the range allowed during a particular Yuga. And, the 'present' being a Kali-yuga, man apparently reflects the helpless most model of Shiva, for one can feel the potential within him, but can’t use it optimally…

The ‘truth’ of the ‘present’ as ‘past’ of Shiva when He was still a child (Bhairava) can be realized from the symbolic representation of innumerable male and female human forms on the globe (that acts as the unique stage for the human life drama) to communicate the story of creation by the believable Bhootnath Shiva the Lord of the past, who is also Mahakal the controller of time…

Therefore ‘Time’ has been considered as an important landmark in the believable drama of illusory images. It is considered zero for the Formless Creator and unending for the transient forms that fill the universal void to appear and disappear repeatedly and in different forms. For example, a star after billions of years of its existence might one day get transformed into a Black Hole, or a white dwarf, or a neutron star depending on its original mass compared to mass of our sun varying between 5 to 1.5 times or so.

The beginning of the universal cycle believably remained unknown to the ancient Hindus. However, solar system being balanced or perfect is believed to have over 4 billion-year-long day of active performance or action that is followed by an equal period of rest thereafter, while temporary man apparently is made to work, on an average, for 16 hours and allowed voluntary rest for 8 hours in a day, however human brain continues to work involuntarily every second (Krishna also says that he doesn’t rest for a second – and he believably remains within each human form).

Scientists in the ‘present’ also estimate our solar system to be in existence for over 4 billion years, whereas they estimate the universe to be in existence for a period around 13 billion years only, whereas the Hindus stated it to be unending, and its time of beginning also infinite. Thus the Creator, Formless Shiva or Bhootnath, (who is symbolically represented by Shivalingam of either of the ‘pancha-bhootas’ even, say, a volcano, a natural hot water spring, the peak of a mountain or a natural mound, or even man-made lingas from soil/ stone), was stated as unborn and unending, and Him, therefore, as ‘Swayambhu’, or ‘Shambhu’ in short, meaning it to have appeared on its own (and ‘bhu’ also means our planet earth).

Features related with plant life are generally cited to visualize similarly the behaviour of human beings - as models of the universe - with passage of time in different stages: Childhood, youth, middle age and old age (and Hindus also state evolutionary processes to have progressed over four stages, which Bhootnath believably now sees again and again over four different Yugas – as His Own History).

In the Gita, man is indicated as an inverted tree. And, in the ‘present’ also Scientists too, as its reflection, state that two similar chromosomes went through different processes, such that - over some period of time - one evolved into tree and the other into man. And, that both life forms are complementary to each other. For man inhales life-giving oxygen and exhales poisonous carbon dioxide that becomes food for the plants, who then release oxygen back in to the atmosphere for use of man. Thus, that whch is ‘meat’ for plant life is ‘poison’ for human life!

Shiva is also similarly, like a tree, is believed to have consumed poison for the sustenance of selfless as well as selfish people. He is also called Tardeo (‘Tar’ is Palm tree), or tree-like Ekapada (one-legged, which could also allude to the earth that rotates around its own axis that passes through South Pole as its base) Shiva’.

Man believably is His Own image – maybe good or bad in human being’s inefficient or imperfect eyes only – and all physical forms believably performed some useful purpose as per His design or wish…

And man was believed to be just a witness or a spectator while performing actions to enjoy in the spare time the dance, say of Bhairava and 64 Yoginis. Or, Krishna’s with the milk-maids of Brindaban (revolution of heavenly bodies around the centre of galaxy witnessed by Astronomers), or Earth & Moon (Shiva & Parvati), both going around each other, and so on, and their reflections the innumerable characters as their images on ‘silver screen’/ TV screen/ film or stage personalities’ performance on stage/ Bhangra dancers in marriages in north India/ and so on...

Now, as we know from the communication handed over since time immemorial from ‘wise’ Hindus, it is believed that the Creator is Formless or just a dot and, therefore, called Nadbindu the point source of ‘nad’ or ‘Big Bang’. His location in the human body was realized by Yogis to lie at the meeting point of the nose and the forehead - its influence range therefore imagined to range between the tip of the nose and the top of the forehead. ‘I’ saw many ladies (Vaishnavites) in Manipur, with sandal paste applied over this region, perhaps as a reflection of the ancient ‘Hindu belief’ ritually retained in that region in the ‘present’.
The ancient Yogis, in order to tune the self with the Supreme (virtually a unique one eyed) soul, are believed to have performed Yogic exercises to lift energy trapped at the lower levels above the throat through ‘tapasya’ literally heating of the body in sun, or ‘sadhna’ that is control of the self. And, with it they then attempted to energise the ‘Ajna Chakra’ or the Formless Being’s essence housed there, perhaps to magnetise the dormant tissues with their physical eyes closed, because the physical senses are the believable cause of illusion…to tune with the Formless…It is believed that on achieving it they could perform what an average believes as ‘miracles’…however, they also indicated that in Kali-yuga the ‘dark age’ when Venus (whose essence is housed at the throat level) generally ruled, and thus the human form was restricted to a maximum utilization of 25% of the available potential at the end of the dwaper-yuga, which reduced to ‘0’ towards its end. They therefore advised one to sing His name, that is, ‘nam jap’ (I saw being practiced by some Hindus in Assam. There are no idols – only there are, at certain places, simple CGI sheet cover supported over wooden columns, provided over cemented floor at the pinth level that’s open on all sides), such as Hare Krishna Hare Rama, Om Namah Shivaya, and so on, depending on one’s faith and belief, whatever gave one happiness, but, without causing harm to any other human being, for God resides within everyone. And therefore, if one abused someone, it is God Himself who is in reality being insulted or unduly exploited!

The variety in human behaviour, with a view to reflect variety in all aspects of ‘Nature’, thus can be observed even in the variety of the ways of worship, that is, remembering the Creator as the one and only ‘kite-flier’ by His ‘kites’ (Hindus believed Eagle as Vishnu’s vehicle – and He has taken care to even shape North America in that form and the inhabitants to accept Eagle as their ‘National Emblem’!).
Of course, ‘naturally’ one can expect three categories at any time – believers, non-believers, and fickle minded ones, who change sides from time to time in their ‘selfish’ interest – although as per a Grand Design…

Kavitha, here is another reaction to an article in the news paper for 'preview' (which as usual shall have to wait for the appropriate time!)
for 'preview'.

This refers to the ‘MIND OPENER’ article Wired Attire by Shri Mukul Sharma (Nov 29).

It really opened ‘my mind’, and to recall what i came to learn as an ‘eye opener’ in Class 9**, that is, “Matter cannot be destroyed by any known means”, with the information that weight of original piece of paper before it is burnt equals the weight of the resultant ashes and the gases that get released to the atmosphere – i accepted it without any doubt and didn’t ask the teacher to convince ‘me’ by a practical demonstration. i accepted it also when i was told that energy also is indestructible, although like matter it is also possible to get transformed.

However, as ‘luck would have it’, i was born a slave during the British regime, as a “Bxxody Hindu” and, therefore, came to know that although my Body is destructible because it is made of matter, ‘my soul’ is indestructible and it alone matters as it is the VVIP that passes through minimum 8.4 million animal forms before it wears human forms as its destructible garment!

** Class IX, or in Hindi, my mother tongue, ‘naveen kaksha’, ‘veen’ pronounced with a nasal sound, which could otherwise lead the word to be interpreted to mean ‘new’. And also, it is not to be confused with the word ‘kaksha’ meaning a planet’s elliptical path or Orbit – that would otherwise mean ‘sudershan-chakra-dhari’ or ‘Vishnu-like holder of beautiful ring’, that is, Planet Saturn, [misnomer ‘satan’ the ‘forbidden fruit’ that is the (Adam’s) apple provider, and the double coloured ninth planet of the ‘Navagraha’ the ‘witness of the drama’ as the ‘Decision maker’! Or, maybe that’s what is intended by God, the mischievous Krishna, as His representative!]

JC Joshi

P.S. If the erudite editors are confused, please blame it on the CE the Era of Confusion!

JC

[Can I help it, or why should i(?), if my father chose perhaps unconsciously the serials of ‘my Hindu name’ in English to appear similar to apparently a fatherless character in human form, in the human drama in the ‘Christian Era’, who came to be recognized as a great personality only after he was bled to death on a cross, perhaps a wee bit similar to Lord Rama, the ‘Hindus’ worship today while ‘chasing Gold’, like ‘Ravana believably did’ and Rama chased to kill the ‘golden deer’ after being made to kick the ‘golden throne’ for his younger brother Bharat to proxy rule over Ayodhya with Rama’s slippers on it (sailing in two boats are we today – to eventually fall into the sea formed over the globe when Arctic & Himalayan ice melts completely?!

To my funny eyes, sometimes because of my foolish brain being an analogous muscle computer, ‘J’ appears like the handle of an umbrella and ‘C ‘like its cloth cover, as large as the ‘Sea’(like Ma Durga’s ‘kavach’) that ‘time’ has separated from its original position over ‘J’.

It also appears like human leg, say below the knee; or like a hockey stick, the favorite game of ‘ancient Indians’; or a golf club, that attracts the eyes of ex-cricketers; or like a walking stick of an old persons, held in inverted position for an instant to drive away a dog, or even god, maybe – in ghor kaliyuga, the darkest part of the dark age!]

Kavitha, talking of wild flavour related with tantricism,
in this confused era in ‘India’ that is now ‘Bharat’ and not ‘Mahabharat” as it once was, tribals from present day Jharkahand had apparently settled down in Assam Tea Gardens in the northeast the apparent centre of the practice of Tantricism in olden days, as tea planters, for generations. They apparently have been demanding ST status for them for quite some time.

It is reported in some newspapers that the police under the Congress ruled government in Assam, the party that rules in the Centre also, but with many political parties, including the DMK that tules in Tamil Nadu, as it's allies - although present at that location - apparently remained a mute spectator when trouble brewed between the tribals and the local shop keepers etc. recently.

The tribals had rallied in Guwahati, the Capital city, but they apparently grew violent and damaged property of the local shop keepers. They got enraged, and in retaliation apparently beat the rallying tribals - many of whom were famales. One male tribal reportedly was killed and many others were injured.

It appears that the enraged locals crossed the ‘Lakshamana Rekha’ or limit of decency (related with advanced treta-yuga), and although similar attempt by Duhshashan & brother Duryodhan in dwaper-yuga (still reltively advanced age compared to Kali-yuga), to disrobe in public Draupadi the wife of the Pandavas, thanks to evolved Krishna didn’t succede, the locals managed to strip a female in public in Kali-yuga...

Some people reportedly saw a shrieking woman running on the middle of the road and being chased by some men.

However, there were some other locals present in the crowd who succeded in covering her body with whatever cloth that was immediately available and pushed her in to a police vehicle to be removed out of the clutches of the maddened locals.

As it has become the apparent practice after such shameful events, all political parties condemned the action...

With the above background, the reported incident in Malaysia could perhaps be visualized by a detached person as repetition of history, or a reflection of the recent incident in Assam, when Malaysian Government clashed with ethnic Indians settled in Malayasia, many of whom - as part of the believable ‘churning’ of the Milky Ocean or perhaps Milky Way Galaxy by Krishna - belong to ‘ancient India’ and particularly to Tamilnadu in south India (that believably is ruled by Sun), thus rightfully hurting Shri Karunakaran the present CM of the state…and therefore the Malaysian Justice Miniser's harsh comment apparently wasn't warranted...

But, Krishna the Supeme Knowledge reportedly is mischievous and therefore He alone knows the 'Truth'...why such undiplomatic comment was dared by the said Minister against the Chief Minister of another country? Is it a sign of the setting Sun?

As we have discussed earlier also, wise Hindus have indicated eight ‘chakras’ or centres of concentrated energy/ information to exist within human body along the central nervous system - that are individually connected with the sympathetic nervous systems also, covering the periphery of the body at differnt levels over a certain height…

Central nervous system (Bhairava) apparently acts as the central conduit to serve as the neutral agency to carry energy/ information to and from the brain from different energy centres - each of whch has four sub-centres on either side of it at each ‘chakra’ level, making a total of eight fractions of the total energy related with each chakra. And, thus making the total of fractions to 64 (Yoginis) that dance around the Nirguna Bhairava in the centre represented by the Central Nervoius system.

The two sympathetic nervous systems, one on each side of the central one, apparently thus act as storehouses of information/ energy that is locked up within these - four each fractions of it on either side.

As per ‘my’ loud thoughts, I visualize a maximum of 16 energy-fractions, related with essences of Moon-Earth, eight each at Sahasrara and Ajna chakras, only available for use in a kaliyuga for the entire body and, thus, reducing the human efficiency only to a maximum of 25% of the potential, as believed by the ancients. Rest remaining locked up at the other energy centres
Another 16 maximum, related with Venus-Mercury, become available in dwaper-yuga, thus making the total to a maximum of 32 – for maximum efficiency of 50%.

In treata-yuga, a maximum 16 additional becoming available, related with Sun-Jupiter, thus raises the total to a maximum of 48 – for maximum efficiency of 75%.

And, in Satyuga, a maximum of 16 additional fractions become available, related with Asteroids-Mars - for maximum efficiency of 100%.

The dance of these 64 Yoginis, or whatever numbers available, as represented by female forms, would depend on the specimen, i.e., the Yuga it pertains to, and also must account for the three aspects and the ‘pancha-tatva’...

’I’ have attempted to do that, for ‘Post–Independence-India’, whose date of birth is known, i.e.,15th August at 0h IST, and so also for many individuals whose similar birth particulars were made available…with the basic purpose of determinng what gemstones and also their right locations on their photograph that would help improve an individual’s efficiency…primarily for confirming the belief of one Formless God and all humans as His images, as believably realized by Yogis…

Referring to the Gita as the basic compilation of ‘wise ancients’ who at some stage inhabited the ‘chosen land’, the Ganga-Yamuna valley, irrespective of the part of the globe in which they were originally born, and also reading ‘between lines’ the other ‘Hindu’ mythological stories etc. that are available in the ‘present day confused India’ - due mainly to apparent relative shrinking of utilizable land, which is virtually tending to zero with time due to various forces including population explosion - ‘Yogiraja Krishna’, literally the ‘dark person’ is believed as the representative of formless Nadbindu Vishnu, who ‘reclines in the middle of the kshirsagar’ as the ‘origin’, and Yogeshwar Shiva as the goal achieved through valiant Bhagirath-like efforts by Krishna.
Krishna is believably responsible for filling up of the infinite and ever expanding universal void with innumerable physical forms, thanks to the authority vested upon him by the Formless Creator (that is free access to Bhootnath Shiva’s unlimited power, with blessings of His consort, that is, Ma Kamakshi the fulfiller of unending desires)...
As per ‘present day scientists’ also, the physical forms individually also are expanding within the space, which was attributed by the ‘wise ancients’ to ‘churning’ by Krishna, or dance of cowboys and milk-maids of Mathura & Vrindban around Krishna due to the mesmerizing tune played by Him on His flute’, or dance of 64 Yoginis around Bhairavanath Shiva (reflected in ‘Nature’ by vines climbing up their central support, say an Ekapada-Shiva-like tree as a model of our planet earth that dances or rotates around its own axis while carrying along its satellite, moon, with it, just as couples in human form perform various dances, vis. Waltz, Fox-trot, and so on)…
Krishna in the Gita, while on one hand states that all ‘wrong’ human actions apparent in the drama result from lack of overall knowledge, on the other hand says that although He can be reached through knowledge and science also, He prefers those devotees who surrender all their actions [(Tamasic (due to ignorance), or Rajasic (with limited knowledge, for some particular limited goal in mind), or Sattvic (dedicated to the unapproachable Formless Creator, through some deity)] in Him, that is, persons who unwaveringly (King Harishchandr-like) believe in Him as the actual doer and enjoy the apparent ‘churning’ around them despite the hierarchy, with the firm belief that it is apparent only due to ‘Maya’ that is illusion on account of ‘Mahakal Shiva’ the Controller of Time. That is, time as the cause of the related projections of images on the imperfect mind’s eye of each individual, that is, the believable concerned ‘soul’, according to what part of the Yuga is being reviewed through innumerable eyes by Bhootnath Shiva, the Lord of the Past, for His Own purpose – our apparent purpose being merely incidental…

One comes to learn that ‘present day sceintists’ in the ‘west’ appear to be conducting ‘research’ in different fields to reach ‘the origin of life on earth’, which as per the variety of literature etc. available in ‘India’ was already reached long ago, and since time immemorial was apparently being passed, like in the relay race in atheletics as its reflection, through generations, despite innumerable catastrophic events, such as emergence of Himalayan range from under the sea-bed in the north of ‘Jambudweep’ that ‘India’ was called once upon a time, or some volcanic eruption that resulted in the believably strong igneous Basalt rock formation in the south of India estimated to have occurred 65 millioin years ago…
With the background knowledge that Krishna is addressed as both Neelamber (‘Blue colour’ as ruler of ‘west’, with reference to ‘Kashi’ as zero datum) as well as Peetamber (‘Yellow colour’ as ruler of ‘north’, wrt the Equator, which has high Himalayan range, the ‘crown of India’, as the natural barrier to act as the controller of the annual water cycle), and as Ma Kali represented by Her tongue (‘Red colour’ as the ruler of ‘east’). These three primary colours imply their combinations, i.e., Green colour as the ruler of N-W, and Orange colour as the ruler of the N-E…accounting for the ‘ROYGB’ of the visible spectrum. Now, our Sun - the source of all colours hidden in its white synlight that is also associated with infra-red rays and ultra-violet rays that was considered as ‘shadows’ by ancient ‘Hindus’ - although rises daily in the east and sets in the west, it remains six months in a year in the South hemisphere and six months in the North hemisphere, respectively between the Tropics of Capricorn and Cancer was believed as theruler of South, with inra-red associated with Jupiter as ruler of S-E, and ultra-violet associated with Mercury as the ruler of S-W…
It was Sir Fred Hoyle, the world famous astronomer, working in Cambridge University, who for the first time came out with a statement in newspapers in early 1982 (when Sarawati Puja was being celebrated in India!) that life on earth had to be a result of design by an intelligent being…’My’ comments then brought only a response from his P.S. that he found them interesting, but because of preoccupation he was unable to respond personally! "East is East..."

Sir,

I just stumbled upon this link and could relate to many of your thoughts and explanations.....

I am particularly interested to learn your views on 64 yogini concept divided in to 16 energy frequency X 4 set and further corresponding to 8 chakras theory,
I am curious to know about possibilities about

now as per modern science there are possibly 64 DNA codes and as we all know ( as children of modern science) that perhaps these 64 DNA codes collectively contains all the information about us" Humans" , it is claimed that out of 64 DNA codes, only 20 are found to be active( I pre assume, that majority of people may have only 16 codes activated with some exceptional ones having the odd 20 activated)- so can we look at it like 16 active energy frequencies or 20 active frequencies......
I am trying to overlap this energy frequency model on to DNA codes and what could be possible relation between

Present active 20 DNA codes vis-a-vis 16 or 20 energy frequencies vis-a-vis which 16-20 Yoginis- and out of this 16 energy frequencies activated right now , what possible relation can be interpret to 5 senses?
What happens when further 16 energy frequencies are activated, do we work with 6 th sense then or we begin to work with 6th sense as this 6th sense is not a physical dimension, are there many levels of this 6th sense ( I would like to believe it that way)
Does this then also mean to relate to 8 chakras? And what relation does these chakras have with another balance 48 energy frequencies , I mean , these 8 chakras also then must have 4 levels of presence , one level which as of now corresponds with active 16 energy frequencies.......

Is it possible to have or create a grid of these frequencies in graphical format?

I would like to be in touch with your personally over mails too
